Hey! I’m a blue collar, father of 3, who loves science.
I noticed a peculiar thing. One day, I was googling constants in physics (numbers that are what they are), and I noticed something.
Of the constants, there exist some that are dimensionless. That is to say simply, that they have no human measurement associated with them (pi=3.142 or 1/137 fine structure constant)
But, two stood out to me.
In dimensionless units, the upper informational capacity of the current universe, according to Lloyd 2002, is:
I ≈ 10^122
In dimensionless units, the value of dark energy is :
/\ ≈ 8.57x10^-122
—-
10^122
And
10^-122
I searched to see if there was a ratio, something to normalize these two numbers. (You’d think someone would have done it by now!)
But, no one has. So, I took it upon myself, to make the ratio…
And, down the rabbit hole I went!!!
