Art Rooney II and Omar Khan have already started to request interviews for the vacant Head Coach position for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They have requested to interview the following:

Nate Scheelhaase: Rams Passing Game Coordinator
Chris Shula: Rams Defensive Coordinator
Anthony Weaver: Dolphins Defensive Coordinator
Brian Flores: Vikings Defensive Coordinator
Jesse Minter: Chargers Defensive Coordinator

More to come for sure but the Steelers are looking at the right candidates. Who would you like them to interview/hire?

Steelers have put in their first few head coaching interviews! Chris Shula and Nate Scheelhaase are great candidates from the Sean McVay coaching tree and young options! Dream scenario is the Steelers bring both in with Chris Shula being HC and Nate Scheelhaase following as OC. But the Steelers are looking in the right places for their next HC!

There’s one head coaching candidate that going under the radar that has really been growing on us. That’s Jaguars Offensive Coordinator Grant Udinski.

He previously worked under Kevin O’Connell with the Vikings as an assistant offensive coordinator and assistant QB coach from 2022-2024. He interviewed for the Patriots, Seahawks, Texans, Buccaneers and Jaguars offensive coordinator position in 2025 and eventually worked under Liam Coen for the 2025 season.

The Jaguars took leaps this year and averaged 33 points per game during their final 8 game win stretch. Kevin O’Connell and Liam Coen are also part of the Sean McVay coaching tree. Grant Udinski is also only 30 years old!

The Browns have already requested an interview for Grant for their vacant HC position. Steelers should do the same. For all the people that want an offensive minded guy, he’s a strong candidate that the Steelers could take a chance on! Thoughts?

Mike Tomlin has STEPPED DOWN as Steelers head coach after 19 seasons! It's about time. Change was 100% needed. Ownership was never going to do it themselves. Tomlin did it for us. Now it forces real change. 19 seasons and never had a losing season... 13 playoff appearances, only in 4 of those did the Steelers win a playoff game. It’ll be different seeing someone else with the head set. There were some fun times but also a lot of bad. History books bad. It’s been time. Goodbye Tomlin.

Let's hope the next head coach gets the Steelers back to post-season success and hire some assistants that will build the team to where it should be. Steelers need a modern touch. Steelers need to get with the times and become a threat again! Who do you want the Steelers to bring in at head coach and the coordinator spots?

The Steelers find themselves on the wrong side of history. 7 straight playoff losses. Longest active playoff losing streak in the NFL. 4th longest playoff losing streak in NFL History. Most consecutive playoff losses in franchise history, which is now more than doubled from the previous losing streak of 3, set back in the early 90s. Mike Tomlin TIES Marvin Lewis for the most consecutive losses by a head coach.

Not to mention all the OC changes since Todd Haley and the offensive disasters in the playoffs REMAIN! The offensive gameplan REMAINS! The last two DC’s have been in house promotions with likely another one to happen this offseason.

The last 3 seasons have had different QB rooms, but all ended in the same record and blowout loss in the playoffs.

Steelers need to save themselves. Ownership has to do the right thing. Of course we say all this only to RUN IT BACK AGAIN NEXT YEAR!

The Ravens just fired HC John Harbaugh after 18 seasons. Not only is it the end of an era in Baltimore, but an end of an era for the Steelers vs Ravens rivalry. Mike Tomlin and John Harbaugh faced off 44 times and put on classics and games that we still talk about today. I don't think you'll find another head coach battle like Tomlin vs Harbaugh. Head-to-head, Steelers led 25-19, including playoffs. Steelers led 10-3 since 2020. If there was a way for their chapter to end, Sunday night was perfect. It's going to look very odd not seeing these two face off twice a year anymore.
