The problem with Zero Dam is that it currently seems to offer three things simultaneously: low time-to-action, familiarity/predictability, and strong economic efficiency. That's a dangerous combination. If I can enter Zero Dam, fight within 30 seconds, run a route I've memorized, extract consistently, and make comparable or better money per hour than I can on a larger and riskier map, the rational choice is Zero Dam. After hundreds of hours of that loop, Space City isn't being evaluated on its own merits anymore. It's being compared to a map that has compressed the extraction-shooter gameplay loop into a few minutes.
