my mom noticed a really cool detail in father figure and i need to share it!!!!


in the first chorus, taylor says “I’LL drink that brown…” and since it’s from scott borcheta’s perspective, it means that when they met, taylor was underage and it was only him drinking.

in the second chorus, taylor says “WE’LL drink that brown…” so since they knew each other for so long, taylor basically grew up with him and eventually started to drink too.

and for the third time, taylor says “we DRANK that brown…” because its now past tense and they no longer hang out or really know each other. they went from friends to enemies.


btw this isn’t about drinking or anything, the point i was trying to make was that they knew each other for so long and spent so much time together. but now they’re obviously the opposite of close because of the deal that was made with the “devil” being scooter braun.

i really want to do that long form video trend where it’s an album battle of all the songs, but screen-recording 144 song audios would take 2-3 hours. so i have 2 questions for you guys:

1. would you even like that video idea? bcuz it would take away from my usual shorts for a couple days.
2. would it be okay to just have 1 song playing in the background instead of 144 songs?
