In 1992, my wife and I took our very first trip to Disney together — my first time ever visiting. We stayed at a less-than-magical Motel 6 on International Drive. The door wouldn’t stay closed unless you locked the deadbolt, the shower drained slower than molasses, and the neighborhood was… let’s just say “colorful.”
But even with that rough start, we had the best time at Walt Disney World. The parks were pure magic, and that trip started a lifelong love for all things Disney.
Since then, we’ve joined DVC and taken countless magical vacations — though we never did ask Motel 6 to keep the light on for us again! Over the past 35 years, we’ve learned so much about making the most out of a Disney trip, and we started this channel to share what we’ve learned with you.
We’re not professional “Disney experts” who go every day — we’re everyday Disney fans, just like you. We still get excited counting down to our next trip, we still overpack, and we still love every minute we spend in the parks.

And about our name — AllAboutTheDuck — that’s a little family joke. I’m a huge Donald Duck fan (I call him “The Don”), so when it came time to pick a name, it had to be AllAboutTheDuck.
