Welcome to my channel! I share a variety of content including adventures, boat life, boat tours, car maintenance, car camping, interviews, personal finance, product reviews, and sustainable alternative living. The content shifts throughout the year depending on the season, weather, and current projects. My sailing boat and 2009 car are regular features—boat life offers a unique lifestyle, and my older car often needs repairs as I work toward saving for a van to join the van life.

My Goals:
I would like to grow this channel and set sail for seasonal cruising. The plan is to leave the boat in a marina abroad during the off-season, fly back, and embark on van life road trips. Long-term, I aim to leave the UK and establish a semi-off-grid homestead—something like a tiny home setup.

I'll film boat tour videos when I can, This does depend on the participation of others. I also help care for my parents. I'm working on sustainability projects to help them cut ongoing cost like solar system

One of the real considerations with buying my boat was the Bavaria 36. If I did buy one I would certainly be happy with it. This one is from my good buddy Russ. As the weather turns I hope to find more people who would like their boat filmed! Now I have the drone! #Bavaria36 #Sailing #Boat

Recently I made this video while in a hotel for work. Talking about why i'm worries about my future and one key point was my housing problem. Well today there was this article.

"Average UK house prices have risen above £300,000 for the first time, according to figures from lender Halifax.

The average price of a UK home increased 0.7% in January, reversing a 0.5% fall in December. The rise pushed the typical property value to £300,077, while annual house price growth accelerated to 1% from 0.4% the previous month."

Another milestone 900k views! Following on from my last episode, I didn't get the job up in Scotland, But I did manage to get a few long days at the spring fair at the NEC (so no boat this week) 7am-6pm each day for 4 days. I'm hoping to film an episode and test out the diesel heater that has arrived. Before installing it on the boat I want to know if it works, how much power and diesel it uses. So I'll jerry rig one at home first to test it out.

Thanks everyone for your comments on my latest video "I'm worried about my future housing AI robotics and jobs. What's your advice?" I had a lot of nice messages and comments on there. I didn't get the job in Scotland which is a bit frustrating. However I do have 4 days work lined up this week! The last few days I have helped build a stand at the furniture show. They won best stand of the show, I think it's the 3rd year in a row. I worked on it last year too! I also worked at the University of Aberystwyth, Then the University of Bangor. This involved driving through Snowdonia, which I'm sure would of been nice but I did it in the dark as it's finish one location head to the next! These locations have been in Birmingham and then the west coast of Wales & North Wales. Next video should be rigging up the diesel heater I have planned for the boat. I want to test it out first before installing it. Plus a little adaptation to make it more suited for the boat. But I want to see how efficient it is and perhaps rig up something for my folks house. Currently spending about £7-9 per day on gas and electric here! It's a small bungalow! https://youtu.be/ixguifiUDY4

amzn.to/4qQuuEY - Dehumidifier. By far one of the best things I purchased for the boat is a dehumidifier. There is a big difference in comfort between 15*C wet air and 15*C dry air. The drier air is makes it much more comfortable on board. When I'm on the boat, I shower and cook in the evening creating steam and during winter I don't like having the hatches open due to it typically raining and being cold. Our bodies also increase the humidity with both breathing and sweat. A dehumidifier also makes the external conditions less welcoming to mold, by removing moisture, they reduce the chances of mold growth.

Any advice for me? I've worked for event companies since 2010. For the most part I like it but it has changed over the years. Before it paid ok, now not so much as the job market is over saturated. I also got fired from a job since then I have worked just 10 days in 4 months. Tis week I'm in hotel rooms and wanted to make a video as my housing situation recently changed and I'm planning for the future. But also play devils advocate with do I want to stay here in the UK, and even if I did get a mortgage (which i can't....hence the boat) would I even be able to pay it off with the advancement of AI and robotics. I see a lot of things at the shows I work at along with listening to seminars at these shows. The only way I can explain it as what you see as retail/consumer is like a cartoon hippo, fun, goofy harmless. Yet the hippo is one of the most dangerous mammals in the world.

I purchased a laptop cooling mat for my gaming laptop. I have another channel where I do some product reviews on things I pay for myself and genuinely like. Most of the products will lean more towards nomad living, tools etc https://youtu.be/7Q_a61kiP1M

Are you better off than you were 5 years ago? If so what field do you work in? I've always been a restless person, always feeling like I need to be somewhere else. One of the main reason I work for marketing agencies is because there is no commitment to work. Typically between January and April there is not much work. So before the boat, my accident, operation and of course lock down which crushed my income. I used to work as much as I could all over the UK on events and save every penny! This way I could explore the world backpacking and hostels.
However times have drastically changed, the job market has become over saturated driving down wages and working opportunities and I've not really been feeling motivated over the winter period. I'm looking to explore other options does anyone have any suggestions?

In my latest episode I talk about things I would like for the boat including adding a solar arch and cockpit enclosure. I managed to find some pictures online of other Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 that have them for my friends who are not too familiar with boat parts and upgrades.
