Welcome to my channel! I share a variety of content including adventures, boat life, boat tours, car maintenance, car camping, interviews, personal finance, product reviews, and sustainable alternative living. The content shifts throughout the year depending on the season, weather, and current projects. My sailing boat and 2009 car are regular features—boat life offers a unique lifestyle, and my older car often needs repairs as I work toward saving for a van to join the van life.
My Goals:
I would like to grow this channel and set sail for seasonal cruising. The plan is to leave the boat in a marina abroad during the off-season, fly back, and embark on van life road trips. Long-term, I aim to leave the UK and establish a semi-off-grid homestead—something like a tiny home setup.
I'll film boat tour videos when I can, This does depend on the participation of others. I also help care for my parents. I'm working on sustainability projects to help them cut ongoing cost like solar system

looks like I’ll soon be cutting a fairly large hole in the boat! This opening is for the exhaust outlet of my secondary diesel heater. Before installing it on the boat, I plan to set up a test run at home. I want to evaluate its performance first—checking how efficient it is and measuring its diesel and power consumption.
The heater is intended to warm the V-berth and head, which tend to get quite chilly during winter. If it proves to be efficient, I might even consider installing one at home. So far, my primary diesel heater has been working quite well.

Sure is cold out! The alternator project and batteries are installed. I'm probably going to take the alternator home to paint it green. I have a few projects planned.
1. Installing an extra diesel heater to heat the V berth & "head" aka toilet/shower up as the current heater doesn't go that far. I'm going to try it out at home first to see how much diesel they actually use. My one stopped, my fuel gauge was full.....turns out the gauge was stuck giving a fake reading!
2. Swapping out my current solar for the Renogy "Shadowflux" panel to help with the batteries top up.
3. Secondary charger for the starter battery for the shore power.
My most recent video was a break down of the cost of the boat.... the projects listed hopefully will be done over the next couple of months. Thanks for liking the videos.

I've been on the boat recently so managed to do a bit more boat related content. My video of how much the boat cost over 7 years was well received and I had lots of questions about it. Including one which was if i was to start the boat buying journey again what would I look for. So will be making a video on that.
In the mean time I just ordered a diesel heater which ill be testing out before installing it on the boat. I don't get any heat in the "head" aka bathroom and not enough in the V berth.....where I sleep. Last week it was around 1*C at night time so very cold.
I do have some project based video's lined up too in the meant time. One of which is boarding up the loft area of my sisters and my folks house. Again thanks folks!

Should @youtube have a setting to hide AI made content? I read on yahoo finance yesterday that around 20% of YT content shown on the main page is now "AI sloth". Personally I don't like the fake voice overs of Morgan freeman etc. The main content I like to watch are the underdogs like myself, authentic, low subscriber count, none polished videos.

825k Views on the channel. Love seeing those thank you comments. My parents have just moved house / downsized so it's been moving boxes. Fitting loft boards and helping out with bits and bobs. So not really had anything to film/post as it's been pretty busy with organizing, throwing stuff out etc. I've been documenting the loft boarding project but aim to head to the boat for NYE which means finishing up the alternator/battery upgrade. So hopefully next week will have 2 video's.

I'm aiming to get back to the boat this coming week. Recently I have been helping my parents downsize and it's been pretty busy. We're looking to make it more disabled friendly by adding a ramp and grab handles to areas, If anyone has any tips then let me know. My dad hasn't been well at all this week plus with the moving house. As part of the downsize there has been lots of driving to pick things up, throw things away. If I do manage to get to the boat ill finish up the alternator/battery project. I may also do a follow up on cost of the boat over the past few years. I did have a lot of interest on one I made 2 years ago.

I've been pretty busy helping out my folks down sizing/moving house so no video this week. My last video was part of my lithium battery upgrade. I decided with the alternator issue to swap over the pulley wheel. This will be my next video on this, my main channel. In the mean time my second channel (its new) I've just done a product review around the heated airer / dryer.
