Welcome to my channel! I share a variety of content including adventures, boat life, boat tours, car maintenance, car camping, interviews, personal finance, product reviews, and sustainable alternative living. The content shifts throughout the year depending on the season, weather, and current projects. My sailing boat and 2009 car are regular features—boat life offers a unique lifestyle, and my older car often needs repairs as I work toward saving for a van to join the van life.

My Goals:
I would like to grow this channel and set sail for seasonal cruising. The plan is to leave the boat in a marina abroad during the off-season, fly back, and embark on van life road trips. Long-term, I aim to leave the UK and establish a semi-off-grid homestead—something like a tiny home setup.

I'll film boat tour videos when I can, This does depend on the participation of others. I also help care for my parents. I'm working on sustainability projects to help them cut ongoing cost like solar system

They’ve arrived! I picked up two bifacial solar panels for the boat. My plan is to eventually build a solar arch, but first, I’m going to create a fold-out solar panel since the metalwork for the boat will be quite costly. I chose bifacial panels (amzn.to/4xIwrqL) because they capture light from both sides. Once mounted up high, they’ll be able to absorb reflected light from the water below and underneath the panel. In the meantime, placed on the white deck, they’ll benefit from the deck’s reflection. Adding the extra components like hinges, a handle, and a foldable kickstand shouldn’t be too expensive. Initially, I considered buying a premade unit, but many of the smaller ones warn against prolonged outdoor use and describe themselves as “resistant” rather than fully weatherproof. Hopefully, I’ll get to use them on the solar arch this year, depending on my workload. Meanwhile, I’m still saving up for a new vehicle since my car has already clocked 168,000 miles.

Over the weekend, I was in Edinburgh. Today, I'm going from Birmingham to Derby... via London, of course! I'm working on an event tomorrow, but I have a quick kit collection and a few hours spare. I usually head to St. Katherine Docks, a great spot for lunch. It's not busy; it's a hidden marina in London, right next to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Next video is going to be making fold out solar panels for the boat. I decided to make my own as for the same cost I can make bifacial 500w panels which are weather proof vs the pre made ones which are mainly not weather proof if you read the small print. I want to use them all year round then use those panels for the solar arch I want to build.....but its an expensive

The latest episode was a boat tour of my friend's 42 ft catamaran. I'm currently working my regular agency/gig work and am currently up in Edinburgh, Scotland. I probably spend 2-4 weeks a year in Scotland, and along the way, there's a town I've driven by a handful of times. As I'm never in a rush to get to a hotel, I decided this time I would stop off for a quick look around "Jedburgh." Here are a few pictures of why I stopped.

Next episode, I'll be making my own fold-out solar panel. I have a busy week, hopefully, I'll be able to make that video, but from Edinburgh, I'll be going to Leeds, then London, then to Derby and Coventry. Lots of driving, but only working 3 days... just long and far apart.
