The content shifts throughout the year depending on the season, weather, and current projects. My sailing boat and 2009 car are regular features—boat life offers a unique lifestyle, and my older car often needs repairs as I work toward saving for a van to join the van life.
My Goals:
I would like to grow this channel and set sail for seasonal cruising. The plan is to leave the boat in a marina abroad during the off-season, fly back, and embark on van life road trips. Long-term, I aim to leave the UK and establish a semi-off-grid homestead—something like a tiny home setup.
I'll film boat tour videos when I can, This does depend on the participation of others. I also help care for my parents. I'm working on sustainability projects to help them cut ongoing cost like solar system

7 years of owning my boat. To be honest its been great. I love hanging out on the boat, there's always projects to do and with those projects......cost. So 7 years of what I have spent on the boat. Over time I have added lithium batteries, solar, inverter upgraded parts and replaced others. Here's a rough guide to how much I spent on the boat.

I'm looking to build a solar arch for the boat. Not too long ago I replaced a 175w Renogy panel with the new 200w Shadowflux panel. Which is an anti shading panel which out performed the regular panel that I had. This panel is mounted in front of the Sprey hood. But I also picked up 2x 250w Bifacial panels and wanted to know which would be better the 200w Shadowflux vs the 250w bifacial panel. Each of the panels were connected to their own 100/20 Victron MPPT controller and they went to the same 280ah lithium battery. I did a mixture of test and shown the results. #Renogy #Victron #Solar #Fogstar

Here's what's going on here.
The 2 panels mid/right are 250w bifacial panels. I'm going to make a solar arch in a few weeks/months (depending on work) and they are for that.
The one on the left is a 200w special shading panel. This is going infront of the spreyhood where throughout the day has lots of shade.
I'm comparing the 2 panels 200w Shadowflux Vs 250 Bifacial episode will be out late weekend as I'm collecting data on them.

I did a gig this weekend in Stockport. It was nice to have a little walk around. There's a huge rail bridge. Saturday was very busy with a huge street party, but I just went back to the hotel. The easy kit collection day started at 9 am and ended at midnight. I slept at 1 am and was up for work at 7 am, so I was pretty tired. Once again, there were van problems with the company. The driver's window didn't want to go up, and there was coolant everywhere too. I'll be at the boat next week for a few days. I'll be testing out the fold-out solar panel versus my Shadowflux to see the difference and reattaching the freshly varnished grab rails!
