Oh hey, I was on a podcast! I had the distinct pleasure to talk with Justin Wierbonski of the musical project/YouTube channel Demonic Sweaters on his podcast last month, and after some technical issues with being unable to upload due to the archive.org hack last month, it's finally up!
Justin is a great dude and a phenomenal drummer and musician. I discovered his videos when looking for info on electronic drum kits and have been a huge fan ever since. We talk about all kinds of shit in this episode, including making music and animation, teaching, local music communites, getting older, VR, AI, politics, capitalism, and MORE! We kind of went alllll over the place haha. But it was a super fun and enjoyable conversation, please give it a listen and subscribe to his awesome channel if you have a moment! Thanks yall <3
P.S. ... I'm currently working on a new video for a pretty rad cover song I just finished last month. Don't think I should say much about it yet but I'm excited to share when it's ready. If you're a fan of early/mid 2000s anime with heavy themes of rock music and baseball... I think you'll find it:
Hey yall, just wanted to post a little update/explanation for any of my subscribers that have been here for years and are confused about seeing a bunch of music shorts from some dude called Yard Sale show up in your subscription feed.
I made this youtube channel 15 years ago while I was in high school to post the short animations I was making in Flash, and while I’m now a professional animator and still doing lots of animated work, it’s almost entirely for my day job and it’s a lot of stuff I can’t really share. I have however been doing a lot more music making in my free time, and since this channel has just been sitting here mostly neglected I figured I’d rebrand it to my solo music project Yard Sale and start sharing some of that music stuff.
Feel free to bounce if you were here for animation and aren’t interested in my music stuff, I totally get it! But if you wanna keep up with my musical explorations stick around, I’m happy to have ya here! I may still post animated work occasionally, and maybe even some other stuff like gaming or VR content, but we’ll see. This is just kind of a dumping ground for videos pertaining to my hobbies now I guess haha. Anyway, feel free to lemme know what you think of the music I’m making, or just let me know what’s up. Hope yall are well, peace ✌️
