hello, this is the only social platform that i have with a “big” following (literally my personal IG only has 15 followers bc i don’t do social media like that anymore) . therefore, i want to use my youtube channel to speak on current events. i don’t care if it makes you feel uncomfortable. in fact, these events SHOULD make you feel uneasy because they’re all proof that racism in the system exists. we all need to be educated on these murders of george floyd, breanna taylor, ahmaud arbery, etc. it’s even sadder to say that weren’t the only cases either. isn’t it devastating that these sickly racist events still happen in “modern” America? being asian myself, i have experienced discrimination. omfg this time last year, i only had 766 subscribers. one year later, it’s 20k?! sorry i know y’all are probably tired of my “thank you posts” BUT I JUST CANT THANK YOU GUYS ENOUGH OKAY. IT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME AND AGH. IT JUST MAKES MY HEART SO FULL TO SEE HOW YOU ALL HAVE BEEN SO SUPPORTIVE OF MY VIDEOS. THANK YOU. i have always doubted my editing, but it’s times like this where i realize: damn. all i needed to do was keep editing because it was one of my genuine hobbies.. and it finally got me somewhere i wanted to be for the longest time. i know in some eyes 20k doesn’t seem like a lot, especially since i’m not that type of youtuber with their face shown. but it means so much to me. i’ve just been through a lot with my personal life and this truly has been one of the highlights during those dark times that i’m still going through even right now. so in conclusion.. thank you to my subscribers, and even people who watch my videos + leave a like/comment. it truly puts a smile on my face. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
