So, given the last episode of Academy bringing in the legacy of Deep Space 9…

We have our very own Nim as Anna Keeley, and myself as Davis, who both serve on DS9 during the Dominion War — and in fact from Season 3 onwards.

We have a 3-part story in mind that dives into some of Nim’s darker backstory, which we’ve actually been laying breadcrumbs for over four years. Yes — we genuinely planned this from the very first film so Nim could always build it into her performance.

QUESTION.

We currently have a modified Cosermart DS9 jumpsuit which fits her after some tailoring back in 2021… but it’s not really tailored to the standard we’d aim for now. The fabrics aren’t quite right either, and honestly it’s always bothered me — but… budget.

Is it worth considering adding to the fundraiser and add between $400- $500 to have a brand new DS9 uniform made for her? Proper fabrics, properly tailored, so we can do more DS9 stories with her and have her look at the level we want.

This would be the Voyager / early DS9 style with the coloured shoulders.

What do you think?

It would look significantly better on screen and would match much more closely with the one I had made about five years ago. It is extra money to raise… but it’s also extra quality on screen.

Second question about new films and eras!

Knowing that TWOK and Post Picard S3 are the most expensive eras to work within, new high end uniforms and custom props/costumes which all need to be successfully croudfunded with the helps of fans like yourselves...

Knowing that...the next question is...would you rather see the TWOK/PIc S3 era and help us make them via larger donations and/or many other fans doing smaller ones.

OR

Rather see far lower budget Dominion War episodes, as we already have most of the props/costumes...and so we won't need your donations to get new things. - Just standard production costs.

The incoming Indiegogo is overall films and general project budget...not to branch into new eras with expensive props/costumes...that's all extra.

And that's a wrap on an exhausting 2 day fan film shoot, 14 hours intense constant work with the truly incredible Marcus Churchill as Sam Harriman!


It was Documentary style so that means hours and hours of focused in character zoned in performance with no one else helping to carry the burden, it was Harriman days!


These were also 2 days of 100% De-Aged performance days so Marcus had to act "Young" and play 30's the entire time.


A truly unique challenge if you've never played a de-aged character.
Just so tiring.


AND this is the 9th week of my back to back deadlines GO GO GO schedule.
One more week where every day is booked COMPLETLEY then...


February...can finally slow down a bit. 2 months of constant deadline/pressure constant making... exhausting!


Roll on Feb but...one more go go go week!
