🎄 Keeping Your Dog Safe & Happy While You're Away for the Holidays 🐶
Headed out for holiday parties or work? Don't let your pup get cold or lonely. Keep them safe and happy with these quick tips!
1. KEEPING THEM WARM (Physical Health):
- Move their bed to the warmest, draft-free spot in the house and add extra blankets.
- Put a cozy sweater on short-haired or small breeds.
- Ensure they have plenty of fresh, room-temperature water.
2. BEATING BOREDOM & ANXIETY (Mental Health):
- Use "busy toys" like a frozen Kong (stuffed with peanut butter) or a snuffle mat to keep their mind working.
- Tire them out! A long walk or energetic game of fetch right before you leave goes a long way. A tired dog is a happy (and sleepy) dog.
- Leave an old t-shirt with your scent on it in their bed. You can also play relaxing piano music or classical playlists ("dog calming music" works great!) to create a peaceful vibe.

Keep dangerous decorations (tinsel, ornaments, electrical cords) out of reach!
