Walk the World from Home

Hi, I’m Roman. I explore cities on foot, capturing their authentic atmosphere through silent walks and still moments.

Experience the true vibe, sounds, and shifting moods of urban life - from hidden corners to famous landmarks and everyday streets.

These videos are perfect for travelers planning a visit or anyone who enjoys discovering cities from home.

I focus on cities, not people. Occasionally, individuals may appear by chance. If you’d like to be removed, please email me at romanwalkstours@gmail.com - I’ll gladly blur your face or remove the clip.

This channel is my hobby and passion. If you enjoy the walks, your support helps me keep exploring and sharing more places.

Ladies and gentlemen!

Just a quick channel update 🙂

First of all, I’m super happy that the channel has already reached 500 subscribers. Thank you so much to everyone who subscribed - it really means a lot to me. You’re amazing!

In December, I had a bit more free time, so I used it to film some beautiful Polish cities during the Christmas season. I still have a few videos left to edit from my walks in Gdańsk and Kraków. Seeing these cities in winter was truly special. One of the Gdańsk videos was filmed during light rain, and the lens was covered with raindrops - but I think it creates a different mood, so maybe some of you will enjoy it 🙂

I’ve also improved the video and audio quality lately, and I hope you can notice the difference.

I don’t usually announce my trips in advance because they’re often very spontaneous. It really depends on my free time, and I also like to choose good weather.

I love filming in Warsaw - it’s an amazing and beautiful city. At the same time, I’d like to show you other great cities, not only in Poland. It’s always exciting to discover something new, and if I get the chance, I’ll definitely do it.

From January to April, I’ll be focusing more on my work again. I might film something from time to time, but I don’t want to promise anything 😄 Thank you so much for your understanding!

Sometimes there’s music playing on the street while I’m filming, and later YouTube marks it as copyrighted. I think the fairest option is to remove that music and keep the street sounds. In those moments, the audio might be slightly distorted, but you still get the real atmosphere of the place.

That’s all I wanted to share.
Thanks again for all the support, and have a great day, my friends!

My friends,

I’ve got a lot of work right now, so the next video will be released once I have a bit more free time.

Yo friends 👋

I’ve got some improvements to share with you!

From now on, you can switch between two audio tracks in my walking videos:

1. English (US) - Original: Natural street sounds, just like always. Perfect for those who want to feel the real atmosphere of being there.

2. English - With Music: The same street sounds, but with calm background music for a more relaxing vibe.

I can’t set custom names for the tracks, so I simply used the English channel to add the music.

I’ll be watching how it works, and are you going to use it. For example, many of you really enjoy the “History and Present” subtitles - so they’ll stay. On the other hand, the “Apartment Prices” section wasn’t very popular, so I decided to skip it.

I also made a few small tweaks to the on-screen info:
Place, Time and Air temperature are now centered and displayed with a soft gradient underneath to make them easier to read. My only goal is to make your experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Below is a super high-quality guide on how to switch audio tracks.

Cheers!

Roman Walks

Hey team! 👋

The Cloudy Kraków series is now finished and I’m back to filming in Warsaw.

Today I had plenty of spare time, so I recorded a few more interesting locations:

1. A residential street in Old Mokotów
2. Part of Marszałkowska Street (walking through Plac Unii Lubelskiej and Plac Zbawiciela)
3. Kolejowa Street (this area is developing rapidly, which makes it very interesting)
4. Eko-Park at Wyględów (I’ve filmed many lovely places, but this one is special to me)

I’ll edit and upload these videos as soon as each one is ready.

I also have another video of the skyscrapers at Rondo Daszyńskiego. Yes, I’ve filmed them a few times already, but I love the magic of these futuristic buildings, so I recorded them again right after sunset. This video will come a little later.

I’m also planning to make more videos from residential areas: both new estates and older ones. Warsaw has so many fascinating places, and these videos might be useful for anyone looking for an apartment in a specific area and wanting to see what daily life looks like there and how calm it is.

That’s all the news for now. Thank you so much to everyone who has subscribed to my channel - I really appreciate it, my friends!

Have an awesome day! Cheers! 🙌

During my walks, I often meet awesome and very friendly people. Some of them wave to the camera, and it’s a pity that I can’t always wave back because I’m focused on some building or a street view. So here’s my wave to all of you, my dears 👋😀

Hey folks! 👋

I was in Kraków yesterday. I'd actually gone there one week earlier because I'd seen in the forecast that the weather was going to be nice. So, I bought tickets two days before the trip. Unfortunately, the weather turned out to be the opposite of my expectations: it was cloudy for almost the whole day! 😆 I filmed the city in that weather anyway. I visited the Kościuszko Mound, Zwierzyniec/Salwator, the Old Town Market (both day and night), Wawel, and Kazimierz. I need to review the footage at home, but I think it's fine.

I'll release those videos later, as soon as I finish a few of my videos from Rondo Daszyńskiego and Rondo ONZ. Keep in touch!

Hey friends! ✌️
Here's a big channel update:

1) Over the past few days, I visited some amazing places and recorded awesome videos at each location: Old Żoliborz, Wilanów, Wola, Stadion Narodowy area, Port Praski, Old Town, and Centrum. The videos will be posted soon.

2) I'm planning to visit Kraków soon. If the weather is favorable, I aim to go on the 15th of September. Please stay tuned for updates!

3) About subtitles: If you prefer a language other than English, please turn on captions by clicking the CC icon. Then, click the Settings gear icon, select Subtitles/CC, and choose "Auto-translate" to pick your desired language from the list. This info just in case you didn't use this function before.

4) Some of you have asked about my white t-shirt and black shorts in almost every video. No worries-I do have other clothes (at least one t-shirt more 😀)! I wear these because they’re super comfortable, and I love them. I wash them every couple of days, they dry very fast.

That’s all the news for now. Cheers!

Hey friends! 👋
I’ve made a small upgrade to my videos. From now on, you’ll find a “History & Present” section in the description, and I’ve also added subtitles so you can read the info while watching.

I started with the Elektrownia Powiśle video, but I’ll be updating the rest of my videos soon too. Stay tuned!

Roman Walks

Hello everyone,

I’m thinking of using this style of title for a while. It might not be as catchy, but it’s more elegant and calm, so I want to give it a try.

Hey team,

I’ve filmed three cool places: Professorska Street, Fabryka Norblina, and Elektrownia Powiśle. They’ll be on the channel ASAP
