This was the first time I got together with a band after over a year of not playing with anyone. There was a familiar energy that I had almost forgotten. A kind of energy that left me with a big smile and a sense of relief. Recording these songs was the closest feeling to playing a show. “Motivational Speaking” is out now! I couldn’t be more excited to finally share these songs with you. This record taught me about the importance of friendship and community. Creating this was such a collaborative process amongst so many incredible musicians I’m so grateful to call friends. We set out making this record almost two years ago.. I have to give a huge shoutout to Owen Lewis who produced this with me. His patience and determination throughout the whole process was nothing short of inspiring.
I hope you enjoy this record as much as I enjoyed making it. I look back on the last 5 years of OSB and am so grateful for all the support I’ve received. Thanks so much for everything.
