So I've noticed an alarming number of comments on my latest video either asking about or downright accusing me of using AI for the video's voiceover. In some ways it's strangely flattering - those of you who have been with me since the beginning have seen how my videos have grown/improved over the years, including my narration/delivery. But it did get me wondering about where we're at as a culture - we've hit a point where AI is so ubiquitous and advanced that there seems to be a growing distrust of everything we see on social media - including people being compelled to confidently label things as AI when they are not (I've never used AI for any aspect of my video's productions - from researching, writing, recording, to editing - its all me, often to my own detriment). But I'm curious to hear from y'all - are these accusations more common now? Have you seen other creators receive the same erroneous criticisms? Should there be some sort of certified non-AI label, the way there is for organic food? Or is this just the new normal, something all creators will have to deal with and not something that's even worth addressing? Personally, I tend to be more on the anti-AI side of things (specifically generative AI) for many reasons. So I find it pretty ironic that I'm having to address this, because it's not a criticism that I would have ever imagined coming my way (quite the opposite - I find my voiceovers to have their fair share of flaws). But I doubt that AI is going away anytime soon, so this will likely be something we have to deal with from now on. Let me know what you think.

Thanks to everyone who checked out my latest video about the broadcast history of David Lynch's cult TV series, Twin Peaks. If you'd like to watch, here it is 🍒 :
Thanks to everyone who voted in the poll a couple weeks ago, regarding spoilers. In the end, I believe I figured out a way to tell the story adequately, without any major spoilers. But I appreciate the feedback for future reference. The next video will be out very very soon, so stay tuned
Let's say I'm making a video about a cult TV series that has an interesting broadcast history. The show has some major plot twists/reveals, which would need to be discussed (albeit briefly) in the video for context. It's an older show and has been discussed endlessly online (and often times spoiled), but there may still be some new viewers who have never watched the series in its entirety and don't want major plot points revealed prematurely. How should I handle this? (P.S. - the video itself doesn't delve too much into the shows plot. It's just that there are big twists that I can't not mention, because they tie in to the show's broadcast history).
Thanks to everyone who checked out my latest video about Cinergi Pictures - the indie production company that teamed with Disney in the 1990s to produce over a dozen films, before collapsing under its own weight. In case you missed it, you can watch it here:
Thanks to all who have watched my Goosebumps video and especially to those who have liked/commented/subscribed! It's been pretty overwhelming. This video was a bit of a detour for me, as I had been covering mostly film studio history as of late. What other topics would you like to see me cover?
