This channel features videos ofJericho & Thunder the 2 Gray Cats, cat product review videos, as well as bird videos and other wildlife videos from our yard and patio.

Jericho is a girl, has green eyes, and she was born in 2007 and was adopted from the Humane Society on September 28, 2007, as an 8-week-old kitten. She is either a Korat or a Russian Blue. Jericho's first YouTube video was published April 2, 2017.

Thunder was a boy, had orange eyes, and he was born in 2009 and was adopted from an animal rescue shelter on July 21, 2017, as an 8-year-old senior cat. Thunder had FIV+ and was diagnosed with the early stages of kidney failure in 2018. He recovered from his kidney failure, but in September 2022 Thunder was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer and passed away on 3/17/2023.

Jericho is a senior adult cats and lives with her human mom in the Midwestern United States. Thank you for visiting our page, and I hope that you will enjoy our videos! Blessings!

My dear sweet Thunder passed away on March 17, 2023 at the age of 14. He was adopted as an FIV+ senior cat in 2017, and was diagnosed with kidney failure in 2018. He recovered from his kidney failure, but his health was still declining. In September 2022 he was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. He lost a great amount of weight and was in so much pain. He sadly reached the point when it was time to euthanize him.

Here are a couple of recent pictures. The second picture was taken while at the vet's office prior to being euthanized.

The first three bluebirds hatched on Saturday, June 4, 2022, and the last two hatched on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

I was able to take the pictures within five minutes of the last one hatching while it was still wet! The youngest is in the upper right corner of the pictures.

Our bluebirds returned in May 2022 to build a nest in the nestbox and they laid 5 eggs. If all goes well the baby bluebirds could begin hatching as early as 6/3/2022.

I have put items in place to hopefully keep the house sparrows away so we do not have another tragedy like we did last year with the bluebird's second set of eggs.

Tragedy struck this weekend in our bluebird nestbox. While the parent bluebirds were away on Saturday the house sparrows destroyed three of our five bluebird eggs. Although I was able to intervene in time to save the last two eggs, the bluebird parents were too traumatized after losing three of their eggs and they abandoned the other two eggs on Sunday. At the time of this posting it's been 21 hours since the bluebirds have been in the nestbox. There is a very slim chance that the bluebirds might return to the eggs, but it isn't very likely. I am thankful that our first bluebird experience was successful, and I hope that there will be future succeses.

House sparrows are enemy number one of bluebirds, and regularly invade bluebird nestboxes and murder whatever occupants it finds, eggs, babies, and parents. House sparrows are not native to the United States and we're brought here in the 1850s. They are an invasive species and are primarily responsible for the bluebird declining numbers. House sparrows are not protected, and people are encouraged to destroy them. Although I wouldn't be able to bring myself to destroy them, I can at least prevent them from building a nest in my nestbox.

If the bluebird parents do not return after 48 hours I will have to dispose of the remaining two eggs (if the house sparrows don't come back and get to them first). I will also remove the nest and nestbox until next year.

Our bluebird only laid five eggs for her second brood of 2021. The fifth egg was laid on June 7, 2021, and she is currently incubating them. The eggs could begin hatching as early as June 20 or as late as June 27.
