As with our prior boat, the Steel Kat, we intend to adventure in our local waters off the Capricorn Curtis Coast and potentially further afield. Join us while we learn about our new boat, maintain her and make personal modifications. And of course, haveing fun with family and friends, catching fish and crabs, or just enjoying our days on the ocean in our beautiful boat. Hello, I am about to kick back into creating content for my YouTube channel. I've been finishing off renovations on my property over the last twelve months in readiness for sale. Now that the sale is about to finalise, I have a contract to purchase a new boat and my partner Elaine and I are driving down to Brisbane shortly to see the vessel undergo a sea trial and survey. This will be the introduction to our new boat and the start of new content for the channel.

Hi guys and gals, my latest video is up for viewing. I had an awesome fishing trip offshore with my eldest grandson Jayden and his mate Harry. From the first drop of the lines the fish were on the bite and the fish just ate bait after bait. A couple of first-time species of fish caught for Jayden and harry as well as PB’s and plenty of double hook-ups and two-at-time fish catches. Enjoy, and please leave a comment. My new video is LIVE. I return to Yellow Patch - Curtis Island after 25 years. Yellow Patch is an inlet on the western side of the north-eastern tip of Curtis Island. Yellow Patch is known for its unmistakably bright yellow sand hill (a spectacular backdrop) and once you’ve navigated the mouth of the estuary system, it offers a comfortable anchorage for cruising boats. The channel into the anchorage is not marked and always on the move due to the sand flats constantly moving. This video does contain drone footage of the channel, filmed at the time of making this video. The water directly in front of the yellow sand hill is quite shallow. However, I did anchor as close as I felt it safe, as you can see in the drone footage and the thumbnail for this video. Although only accessible by boat, there is a camping spot on a sheltered beach on the eastern end of the yellow sand hill.
