Yardwork with John

Welcome to Yardwork with John. I'm John, and I live in the suburbs of Massachusetts. This channel is about doing yardwork in the suburbs. Mowing, weed-whacking, raking leaves, trimming trees, and of course snow cleanup.
This channel is ALSO about fixing and maintaining things. From yardwork equipment, to cars to boats to mountain bikes and more.

Yardwork with John

I've made some structural changes to the channel. I've combined all of the yardwork related videos into one playlist. And I've separated my other projects and repair playlists into more specific sub-categories. This new organization scheme should help me focus the channel a little less on yardwork videos and a little more on repair videos. Check out the channel homepage and let me know what you think!

Happy Birthday to Me! Not my *actual* birthday. But today is this channel's 3rd Birthday! It hasn't gone exactly the way I would have predicted. But it is going and that's good!

Coming Soon: A snow blowing video! The storm hasn't happened yet, and it still could disappear and give us nothing. But at this point, we're forecasted to get about 6" of snow. So expect at least one, possibly two snow blowing videos next week!

It's a little late, seeing as how it is now Spring, but I am getting close to finishing a very big Old Snowblower Restoration video. This turned in to a huge project that I worked on all Winter. I already made and posted a few small pieces of that big video, as their own separate videos. But the big video will be over an hour and be nothing but me taking a part this 25 year old snowblower, replacing parts and reassembling. It turned in to a much bigger project than I initially planned. I can't wait to get it posted! (and finally be done with this project!)

More snow is on the way! Which means another snow blowing video will be coming soon. Current predictions are around 8" of snow. Which isn't a particularly big storm normally, but that will be the biggest storm we've had in several years. We've been in a snow drought for a while. Although we've had plenty of huge Winter rain storms, so at least it's not a real drought!

I just made a change to the way I post longer videos.

Up until now, the Long Format versions of my videos have been unlisted, and linked-to only in the description of the corresponding normal format video. I've changed that so all of my long videos are regular, listed videos.

If you like real time, slow action, you can watch the hour long version. If you like the shorter, sped up version, you can watch the normal version of my videos.

Let me know what you think of this change!

The way YouTube implements this, it makes it look like I *just* uploaded about 100 new videos, but I have not. Changing a video from unlisted to listed, updates its posting date when you make the change.

Another snow storm is coming this week. It's not a big one but it will be enough to snow blow. Hopefully I'll have a new snow blowing video posted by the end of the week!

Hey guys! I'm planning on putting together an end-of-year special video for New Years. As part of that, I'd like to do a Question & Answer segment if there are enough questions.

So if you have any questions about me or my channel or anything I do in my videos, how I make the videos, or anything like that, ask your questions here as a comment! If there's enough good questions, I'll put them in my videos!

Note: If you have a question about a specific part of one of my videos, be sure to includes a link and a time-stamp with your questions so I can reference exactly what you're asking about!
