With the War Animals project almost over, in the name of engagement (and for a bit of fun), I’ve put up a poll on the Patreon with a few selected ideas from my list on what you’d like to see out of the next video!
The poll is open to all Patreon members, both paid and free, and you can vote simply by signing up!
Thank you for watching the latest video! 💜 The War Animals project was one that took me a while, and it's taught me a lot about what I can and can't get away with under certain schedules. It wouldn't have been nearly as possible without support on Patreon at patreon.com/Embur. It's the best way you can support me, and help me make these videos bigger and better (and more frequent!! ^^;;)
Patrons get access to sneak peaks of upcoming content, behind-the-scenes videos, and their names in the credits! Highest tier patrons especially get an idea made into a YouTube/TikTok short!
Can't wait for the next video? It's out NOW on Patreon for all Violet Tier (£10 / $12) memburs at patreon.com/Embur!! All of my videos are made solo, so your patronage helps make them possible! The more that viewers like you donate, the bigger, better and more frequent my videos will get to be!
You see this chicken? She's in charge of keeping the East German border safe from nuclear armageddon! Her name is Bess, she says hi. How? What? Why? All of this, and more, coming to an Embur channel near you - August 25th, 8pm BST / 4pm EST That's the day before my birthday! You'll watch it for me for my birthday, won't you? 🥺
As we approach the release of the next documentary, I've put previews of my favourite part of the next video on the Patreon, viewable now for paid viewers! www.patreon.com/Embur
I've been trying my best to up my production as of late, even moreso than in the Norway video. I hope you all enjoy it, whether on Patreon now or later down the line when the video releases.
For those unaware, August 1st is Yorkshire Day! A day to celebrate Yorkshire, its three Ridings (subdivisions), and exciting it’s given to the world.
The day was chosen as it marks the anniversary of the abolition of Slavery across the British Empire, an act spearheaded by one William Wilberforce, MP for Yorkshire from 1784 to 1812 (The extent to which he was responsible for abolition is debated)
Unfortunately I’m not in Yorkshire on this most special of days, instead being away in Germany. Nonetheless, I’ve still brought a little bit of that Yorkshire spirit with me 💙🏵️💙
It gets quite hard to find the exact angles of locations to use as backgrounds sometimes, so I've been trying to get better at quickly drawing together my own! I'm a one-woman show, so I don't want to spend too long on individual backgrounds (and I don't have the budget to start hiring artists), so I hope you all don't mind seeing my little cobbled together illustrations more in the future :)
Today marks the first anniversary of one of the channel's most popular videos: "What the Heck is the Eurovision Song Contest?", a crash course in why and how Europe comes together every year to sing campy little songs together! The video did insanely well for the time, I think definitely in part due to the controversy around last year's contest.
Either way, it's a landmark video for the channel. With this year's Eurovision coming up, there's never been a better time to revisit the video, which you can find here!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0Yrv...
Today marks the 2nd anniversary of "England's City Rivalries, Explained", the first video of mine that exposed the Embur experience to a much wider audience than previous videos. It's still something of a fan-favourite to this day, and I'd consider it the divider between the older videos where I was still trying to find my footing, and my newer videos where the art style and narration are much more solidified.
So, lets raise a glass to our beloved cracked Englandball! Without it, who knows where the Embur channel would be today.
If you've never seen the video, or just haven't seen it in a while, you can find the link riiiiight... here!! https://youtu.be/XhY-zsXDEtw

I've been a busy little bee this month and so the next video is roughly 70% finished, should be out some time within July (hopefully!!)
In the mean time, expect to see more whimsical Embur content delivered straight to your face in the coming days :3
