Landlocked Lovebirds

Hello! We’re Darren and Stephanie, and we’ve been devoting our lives to traveling the world since our wedding in 2013. Together we’ve seen over 20 countries in just five years. We love to experience the food, culture, people, and sights that the world has to offer, so we spend every free minute scheming how to see another new place. While we would love to hang up our day job hats and travel full-time, that hasn’t been in the cards for us just yet. In the meantime, we try to take at least one international trip each year (two if we can swing it). Thanks so much for following along on our adventures. We hope that the videos, blogs, and resources found here inspire you to get out and see as much of this planet as you possibly can.

Red Bud trees putting on a spring 🌸 show 🌸. We got the Imagine XLS MLE 22 out for a quick weekend trip at our county park.

These close-to-home camping excursions are great for figuring out what you need to start camping for the first time, settle in to a new camper, or kick off a new camping season.

Is there any item that you believe was crucial as a first time camper? Any time-saving or life-improving gadgets you won’t camp without now?

We’d love to know your favorite camping necessities!

We’re thinking about doing some cooking livestreams with some built in q&a. Could be anything from internal travel, to food, to camping. Any interest out there in YouTube land?

We are back to YouTube! Stephanie's surgery in October and the colder COVID months slowed down our travel and editing. But we're thrilled to post again with an exciting update.

2020 showed us how much we love camping, whether it's close to home in Indiana or on a long road trip to a national park. We also discovered that we loved PARTS of our Forest River Rpod 180...but the not-so-lovable parts got us thinking about what we wanted in a camper for 2021 and hopefully many years beyond. We started looking at different brands and models and quickly fell in love with a RV we think will fit our wants and needs.

We were sad to leave the cozy camper and our fond first camping memories behind, but the RPOD gave us one more not-so-lovable memorable experience on the way to be traded.

Our honest review of the Rpod, plus our pros vs. cons list, is now live!

Hope everyone is having a safe and happy holiday season!

We’ve had to take a little break from videos while Stephanie recovers from a couple major surgeries.

But we’re ready to get back out there soon! Here’s to a much brighter world for travel in 2021.

We’re making plans to explore more of the US with our little travel trailer and dreaming about international trips we’d love to take if the skies safely open again.

Any video topics you’d like to see in the future?

Happy Labor Day weekend to everyone!

Last week, we wrapped up our first, big RV adventure in Michigan. We had an amazing time in the great outdoors near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. It was a new area for us to explore, and we were blown away by the beauty and scale of our country’s “North Coast” along the truly Great Lakes. We’ve also fallen even more in love with RV camping (despite a few hiccups).

We are pouring through our video now and hope to have some new camping vlogs soon!

How will you be spending this weekend? Making any trips to a state or national park?

Stay safe out there!

Hello Everyone! We hope you're staying safe and healthy.

Since traveling is on hold for now, we decided to share one of our other passions. We love to cook, and we love the recipes we've picked up while traveling! Our current schedule of working and staying at home has given us even more opportunities to cook and bake. So to kick off our first food vlog, we decided to share one of our favorite recipes...HOMEMADE BREAD.

This recipe is super simple, would be great to do with kids, needs no fancy equipment, and requires only the most basic four ingredients (one of those ingredients being water).

It's crazy how something so simple can taste so amazing!

So if you're running low on packaged bread, looking for a new skill to learn at home, or just craving something fresh baked without a lot of time, this is great recipe to try. You'll be an expert bread baker in no time!
