Hi everyone, I’m Isabell, Addy’s friend who helps her from the U.S. with finding homes for her cats.

I’m writing because Addy is currently unable to create content or interact here. She is in an absolute crisis and never needed her community more than now.

Two days ago, her landlord terminated her apartment lease through no fault of her own. Addy is completely alone in China, far away from family and friends, caring for over 40 colony cats by herself while facing constant bullying from people in her neighborhood who mock her work and even steal supplies meant for the cats. When she told me she did not know where to move or how, and said, “I don’t know what I did to deserve this, I can’t do this anymore,” it broke my heart.

On top of this, Addy recently lost one of her heart cats, sweet Bella. Everything has hit her at once.

She now has to urgently find a new apartment that allows pets, where she can bring her two cats, Rocky and Ollie, and foster cat Willow, and that is still close enough to her colony so she can continue caring for them. We honestly do not know if this will even be possible.

This situation also directly affects Alex. As many of you know, Alex was found nearly dead with severe stomatitis and later diagnosed as FIV positive. Addy nursed him back to health, and we found him a wonderful forever home at a cat sanctuary in Canada. We are currently fundraising for his relocation. Alex has been staying at the vet clinic since October and cannot be released back onto the streets due to his medical issues.

Because we can no longer afford to board Alex at the vet clinic for $300 per month, our plan was for Addy to bring him home next week while we complete his final vaccines and fundraising. With Addy losing her apartment, this plan is now at serious risk.

We urgently need to raise the remaining $600 to send Alex to his forever home as early as possible. Boarding is no longer an option, and we truly do not know what else to do at this point. Thanks to this incredible community, we have already raised $1,100 in addition to being able to cover all of Alex’s medical bills. We are so close.
