❓how do you feel about releasing a mixtape with a self-composed song? 🧸i feel great that i’m able to put out a song that reflects my thoughts and my taste right from the foundational step. when i listened to the completed song for the first time, it was really fascinating and made me emotional.
❓why did you choose to go with a rock band sound? 🧸 i’ve always liked band music but i think that it’s a genre that expresses musical style the best. my thoughts were relected a slightly more intuitively than when we release group music.
❓why did you on work on the lyric writing process with singer-songwriter heo hoy kyung? 🧸 i found a long of solace listening to heo hoy kyung’s music when i was going through a difficult time mentally. ‘panic’ is a song that started with the wish that my song brings solace to somebody else out there so i conveyed that i wanted to work on it with heo hoy kyung. thankfully, she happily supported the request so i enjoyed working on it with her.
❓were there any difficulties while working on the song? 🧸 i put a lot of thought into what i should do so that the message of the song gets conveyed to the listener in the best possible way. the lyrics were what took the longest amount of time. the song in itself was something i worked on, sitting in the studio alone, thinking and keeping a record of my thoughts, whenever i got the time.
❓what do you want to convey through ‘panic’? 🧸 i sincerely wish that my song brings comfort to a lot of people. i hope that people who are going through a hard time, facing a wall, can break down that wall a little bit through this song. also, i feel like a lot of people know of me through variety shows and i’d be grateful if they find out that i’m someone that sings and empathizes through music.
❓what’s a new topic that you’d like to cover? 🧸 i think ‘panic’ is just the beginning and going forward, i want to put out music with a wider spectrum. i want to create my own unique style while telling my story. i haven’t decided on it hey but i want to write a song about the things i’ve realized and felt while living this life.

“hi everyone, it’s beomgyu. every since i debuted, the days i’ve lived as txt’s beomgyu are far more than the days i’ve lived as choi beomgyu. i’ve decided to tell you the stories that i haven’t been able to tell you during this time.
more people than you’d expect spend their days feeling like they’ve lost their way, suffocating as if they’re walking through a long tunnel. there were days that brought this kind of darkness to me as well and i endured that period of time by listening to music that i liked.
the way i gained a great amount of comfort through music, i believe that somebody else will also find solace in my voice and my stories.
i sincerely wish that my song reaches the depths of your heart and becomes the strength for you to keep walking forward.
