Hey all y'all my TRIBE!!! It is Derby weekend in Kentucky - and of course, simply glorious. We are enjoying the spring SOOO much! My sincere apologies for not posting - or keeping you in the loop. Landon got his pilot's license while going to college. Just before Christmas, Cindy got a new knee - shoulda done it sooner. I had heart surgery on my birthday - double or nothing baby! It was a catheter ablation, no biggie really - I had the best cardiac team ever... buttah, but it sounds cool 'heart surgery', right? haha --- What a world we live in -- a time of miracles. Years ago, you just keeled over, today, its outpatient and we're home - and all better.
Cindy and I are building something that has turned out to be the biggest challenge of our lives. We are building two commercial real estate projects - simultaneously. We are building two self-storage facilities - about 10 miles apart from each other. They are top-of-the-line, state-of-the-art, all hi-tech joints. The architectural and engineering details, permitting (one building permit was over $30,000 --- what does the town actually do with that money?), state approval, dealing with contractors, vendors, weather, people - OMG. :-D Pray for us!
And the bills --- we used to say everything has a comma -- now we just talk in 6 figures. hahaha
Cindy, how much was that insulation? She answers 2. meaning $200,000.
It has been a blast. It has been the largest puzzle we've ever had to solve - and I will also add, the most rewarding and satisfying project we've ever done.
So I am sorry for the radio silence - we still love you ALL. I just haven't had the bandwidth to keep up.
