Sergeant Allen Levi Stigler Jr. answered the nation’s call at a young age, choosing a life of service, sacrifice, and duty. Raised in Arlington, Texas, he entered the United States Army in November 2013 and quickly distinguished himself through dedication and professionalism.

From service in South Korea to the ranks of the 82nd Airborne Division, Allen embraced every challenge placed before him. As a cannon crewmember with the 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, he became part of one of America’s most respected airborne combat units.

In 2017, during his first combat deployment, Allen deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. On August 13, while helping protect coalition forces during combat operations against ISIS, he sustained fatal wounds in an artillery mission. He was only 22 years old.

Though his life was brief, his impact was lasting. He served with courage, loyalty, and honor. His fellow soldiers remembered him as a dedicated paratrooper and trusted teammate. His family remembers a son whose character and kindness touched everyone who knew him.

For his sacrifice, he was posthumously promoted to Sergeant and awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, and Combat Action Badge.

May Sergeant Allen Levi Stigler Jr. never be forgotten, and may his sacrifice continue to inspire future generations of American soldiers. 🇺🇸
