Hope everybody had an awesome weekend! I took a break and just went and took a breather by a creek, which my pups enjoyed. All pavement, unfortunately, no dirt :(. If you haven't watched my latest video on a trail I did in Arizona give it watch!
Some backstory on what happened on the trail: the Land Cruiser, as always, performed so well. I just didn't expect it to be so hot where we were. Temps were at 100*, and when you're moving slow, the electric fans kick in and help push the air through and keep all the temps where they need to be.
My transmission did get warm; I had the center DIFF locked the entire time. It didn't go in the red, but usually switching to 4-low temps would drop immediately, but I needed just a bit more speed than what 4-low is meant for. Being in 4-high for some of the faster sections, the temp would hover near 5/8 to 3/4 mark at a point in my video.
Overall, it was a fun trail one that I would like to run in fall or spring when the river is flowing just a bit more!

Scheduled to drop the comparison video of the GX 470 and LC 250 tomorrow!
In the mean time I been testing out this Midland GXT67 Pro GMRS Radio and it’s been awesome. Long battery life not like my other ones that left me hanging on the trail. Driving in a convoy no comms never a good thing!

Hope you all had a good weekend. I'm putting too many miles on my 2024 Land Cruiser, I need to get the GX 470 upfitted. Land Cruiser video dropping soon, 5 things I love after hitting 30k miles, and after that, 5 things I hate!
Drawing a few blanks on what I actually dislike versus petty nuances.
