👀 You eagle-eyed lot may have noticed… I’ve reverted back to my very first (and original) username handle — Diagnosed Dad.
After my diagnosis, I went through a bit of an identity crisis. I thought stepping away from Diagnosed Dad might help me feel a little more separate from Motor Neurone Disease, and give me the freedom to post about more than just MND.
The funny thing is… I ended up posting about it anyway.
Over time, I’ve realised that Diagnosed Dad isn’t something that boxes me in — it’s something that reflects where I’m at, what I’m sharing, and why I started all of this in the first place. Reverting back just feels right. It ties in with my current content and also with a project I’ve got planned for next year that I’m really excited about.
So, same me. Same honesty. Same chaos. Just back to the name that started it all. 💙
Hey everyone! As my MND/ALS journey evolves, I’m finding it a bit tricky to keep up with long-form video production and editing. So I’m thinking of doing regular YouTube live streams which seems like the most streamlined and easiest option to maintain long-form content going forward. I can just hop on a live stream, and it’ll save automatically, allowing me to post it as long-form video for you to watch later. So, would you be interested in tuning into these regular live Q&As/Chats around my MND/ALS experiences, or do you prefer the short-form videos? Your feedback is really valuable and helps me create the best content for you all.
I’m currently in Bali! I had planned to vlog every day while here, but juggling MND, 3 kids, exploring a new country, and trying to actually enjoy these 4 weeks has made me realise that daily vlogging and editing a whole video just isn’t realistic right now. So I’ll be sharing updates over on Instagram reels and YouTube shorts instead if you want to follow along and maybe I’ll share trips out whole here on a long video here. X
Wow - the response to my latest video has been incredible! I’m genuinely blown away by all the kind messages, shares, and support for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, Toyota UK, and Stonegate Group.
Creating those videos as a corporate spokesperson was a real honour - and seeing how many of you were moved by the message means the world to me.
If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure to check it out here ⬇️
Hi, I’m still here, just haven’t been feeling like myself lately. For the past three years, I’ve shared everything about my journey with Motor Neurone Disease, but constantly focusing on it can be mentally exhausting. I’ve got so much more to share about my life beyond just MND, and I’m thinking of shifting gears a bit - still sharing my experience with the condition, but more through vlogging my daily life with it, and bringing you along for the ride, rather than focusing solely on the disease. What do you think?
Man down I repeat man down. I’ve had the week from hell last week with the whole family being hit with a Neuro virus - the emoji’s say it all - 🤮🤮🤮🤮 One lesson I’ve learnt is it’s bloody difficult to be sick in the toilet with no arms. 🤦🏻♂️ Might do a video around the subject of being sick living with MND who would want to see this?
Hey everyone, just a quick update there’s no video this week because I’m busy enjoying/surviving the half-term holidays with my kids! Turns out, keeping up with three energetic little ones is just as exhausting as filming and editing… if not more.
But I’ll be back next week with a new video, so if there’s anything you’d like me to cover, questions, topics, challenges drop them in the comments! Always open to ideas (as long as they don’t involve me chasing after the kids… I’ve learned my limits).
Hope you’re all having a great week! See you soon.
Just putting the finishing touches on this week’s video—it’s been a challenge, but I can’t wait to share it with you all! This one’s all about my visit to the neurologist, so expect plenty of insight, a few struggles, and of course, the usual chaos of life with MND. Stay tuned—dropping Saturday 6pm (UK)
