Hey everyone,
I'm writing to you today with a bittersweet announcement. After a lot of thought, I have decided to sell the Learn to BBQ channel. I have to say, it's been an incredible journey, and I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of it.
As most of you know, my son Skylar was in a bad motorcycle accident. He will be coming home to live with Eileen and me, and our top priority is his care and recovery.
I'm happy to tell you that you are in great hands with the new owner, Brett. He's passionate about BBQ, and I know he will continue to bring you fantastic content. I'm excited to see where he takes the channel.
Thank you again for all your support over the years. We appreciate your understanding and ask for your continued prayers for Skylar.
All the best,
Fred (Wiley)

A Difficult Decision and a Call for Support for Our Family
Dear Learn to BBQ Community,
This is one of the hardest posts I've ever had to write, but I wanted to share some very personal news with all of you, my dedicated followers and friends.
As many of you know, my son, Skylar, was recently in a devastating motorcycle accident. He's currently in the Trauma ICU with severe injuries, including a fractured spine and broken legs, and faces a long and challenging road to recovery, including multiple surgeries and potentially years of physical therapy. His ability to work as a mechanic is severely impacted, and my wife Eileen and I are dedicating all our efforts to his care.
To help Skylar with his extensive medical bills and to support our family through this incredibly difficult time, we've made the incredibly tough decision to sell the Learn to BBQ YouTube channel and website.
This channel has been a labor of love, a passion project, and a true joy to build with all of you over the years. The thought of letting it go is heartbreaking, but Skylar's well-being is our absolute priority. We believe this is the best way to secure the funds needed for his recovery.
The Learn to BBQ YouTube channel (@learntobbq), with its 130,000+ subscribers and millions of views, is now listed for sale on Flippa. It's a turnkey media asset with a great profit margin, and we truly hope it finds a new owner who will continue to grow this amazing community.
You can view the listing here:
Flippa Listing: flippa.com/12015885-130k-subscriber-bbq-channel-wi…
For more details about Skylar's situation and if you'd like to support his recovery directly, a GoFundMe page has also been set up:

Your understanding, thoughts, and prayers mean the world to us right now. Thank you for being such an incredible community.
With immense gratitude,
Fred Wiley Richardson (The Learn to BBQ Guy)

Hey everyone! Apologies for being a bit quiet on the video front lately. I've been laid up with a nasty foot infection, but I'm happy to say I'm finally on the mend and getting back behind the smoker where I belong!
To kick things off, I just uploaded a brand new video for you all! We're tackling some delicious, beefy short ribs and getting a fantastic crust on them using my Pit Boss Sportsman grill. You have to see how these turned out.
Check out the new video below.
The work doesn't stop there! TODAY, I'm firing up the pit again to cook a rack of baby back ribs using that high-heat, no-foil method we've all been hearing about. It looks like the old 3-2-1 method might be history, but you'll have to be the judge! I'll let you all know as soon as that video is ready to watch.
It feels great to be back. Thanks for all your support, and happy grilling!

Yesterday, I finally got the time to do a video shoot, and today, I got to edit and upload it. The Chicken came out great, and the Monument Mesa rotisserie worked extremely well. The day I did the cook, the high was only 29F, and it even snowed, so the grill had to handle a lot. Also, the RFX probe is a must-have if you use a rotisserie.

We have family members who live in Southern California. Many are in the area where the fires are. I am making myself available to them in case they need any help. Therefore, no videos until we know everyone is OK and safe. Also, please join me in praying for all those affected by these fires.

Well, to say it is cold is an understatement. We are at 7,400 feet and in the woods. The wind is brutal, and we will not see any temperature above freezing for the whole week. So, it's a good time to write some articles and stay warm.
