From a young age Snyx has possessed the unique ability to set him apart from society and not necessarily in a favorable way. Perhaps it was due to his truly repugnant looks but his propensity to speak excessively when one should be shutting their mouth most certainly didn’t help. Feeling outcast even within the chaos of goblin society Snyx took a shine to larger folk and became enthralled by the swirling fizzy concoctions of a nearby towns chemist. Scrounging up ingredients from the towns refuse Snyx endeavored to better the lives of his own tribe through his dubious potables. Surprisingly, Snyx found he had a natural talent for the craft and it seemed he had found his place providing remedies, salves and bombs for his tribe. Then in a series of unfortunate events one of Snyx’s brews gravely injured the chieftain leading to his exile.

Finding himself very much alone in the world Snyx wandered from place to place in the inner sea region attempting ply potions for food and lodging. Life wasn’t all bad… that is until Snyx found himself in Korvosa. Mistaken for just another street urchin Snyx was captured by Gaedren Lamm and forced run the drug Shiver to destitute addicts in the slums of the city. In an attempt to dull pain of this hopeless situation Synx became addicted to the drug himself. After overdosing and being thought dead Gaedren Lamm disposed of Snyx in the cities garbage heap. Through some divine grace Snyx was not dead and he clawed his way out of the waste. It was only his seething hatred for Gaedren Lamm that motivated him press on.

Now Snyx bides his time honing his craft and aiding the addicts of Korvosa until he can exact his revenge. Not served cold…but on fire.

Meet Kris with a Dagger's character in Curse of the Crimson Throne: Salvanto Calvine!
Being a member of a queen's guard comes with many responsibilities, one of which includes NOT attempting to sell her majesty's precious gems and tiara on the black market. It is also considered bad form to attempt a pass at her daughter. No wrong doing was ever connected to Salvanto Calvine, but a very nervous and talkative informant made a long-term vacation out of the country seem prudent. Needless to say, he had fallen significantly from grace.
With no contacts - and barely a ducat to his name, Salvanto must now attempt to start again in this new land. Maybe he will learn a thing or two on this adventure; like stealing is wrong, and to always do the right thing... eventually.
Salvanto does have some discipline in combat, but loathes violence for the most part. He prefers the act cunning manipulation and covert schemes, all whilst lounging on silk pillows with a goblet of wine in hand. Why waste wind on swinging swords and charging about on horseback when a little careful planning will do?
Failing that, he will stick to the shadows. A knife in the ribs is just as effective as a sword at the neck, after all. And if any loose, unattended coin should go missing in the process, what's the harm?

Meet Rythem's character in Curse of the Crimson Throne: Revar
As a child, an elven boy was pulled from the sea after tragedy saw his family lost to a storm. He'd survived alone in a sealed chest for days as it slowly took on water.

The men who pulled him from the water were not rescuers, but pirates. Pirates with debts to repay to a predator named Gaedren Lamm.

Gaedren soon discovered that the boy he'd purchased possessed a rare elven talent, which elevated "the elf" to more than a simple pick pocket or casual victim. Gaedren used "the elf" to further his ambitions, but when "the elf" betrayed Gaedren, his wrath was sharp, painful, and presumed fatal.

Lying in a refuse pile praying for death, "the elf" survived with the help of unexpected allies who saved him from the city's ever hungry rats.

That was years ago.

Now, "the elf" is known amongst the people's of The Shingles in Old Korvosa as Revar, the Scarred Witch.

A man grown, now, Revar has hidden away and planned for the day when Gaedren would pay for what he's done.

The time for hiding is finally over.

Franz Kastel was once a husband, father, and honest man who believed in Korvosa’s laws. That faith died the day his wife and child were murdered by thugs in the service of the crime lord Gaedren Lamm. When he turned to the city guard for justice, he found only corruption and indifference.

In the ashes of his loss, Franz forged himself into an instrument of vengeance. He became an inquisitor — not ordained by church or crown, but by his own conviction that no sin should go unpunished. He stalks the alleys of Korvosa in white-and-red mail, sword and shield in hand, interrogating the guilty and tearing the truth from those who hide behind power or coin.

Though his cause began with grief, it has grown into something colder: an obsession with purging corruption wherever it festers. He no longer fights for peace or redemption, but for the grim satisfaction of balance — crime answered with consequence.

Franz Kastel is justice without mercy.
