Hey guys just wanted to update you that as of 4 hours ago Blizzard REVERTED THE MAIN ERA CHANGES and made a blue post that was extremely based. They acknowledged all of the community feedback took full responsibility for any of the mess-ups on their part and promised that moving forward they have no intent to make changes to ERA and that if changes were to be even considered they would have the community lead the discussion and do things with proper communication. This is best possible scenario for vanilla wow fans and I want to sincerely thank everyone that signed that petition and went to bat for this game. I truly believe we made an impact with it and I'm very happy Blizzard received it well and did the right thing. The future is looking brighter my friends - has Blizzard totally earned back all trust? imo no but its a step in the right direction and we should do our part to acknowledge this effort and be cautiously optimistic.

Learned today that Blizzard has permanently changed Classic Era Vanilla WoW my favorite game so that Druids can now use polearms for some reason and Alliance has a new world buff equivalent to Warchief's blessing. They've also added new retail user interfaces for guild management and voice chat enabled by default. I'm not sure why this hits such a nerve with me but it truly does. How can they just lackadaisically change the best version of the game without any sort of due process or polling the community in anyway. This isn't a seasonal change this is the new permanent form of vanilla wow played on official servers. Druids can now train and use polearms and alliance just have warchiefs blessing. I know we have a good thing going on deviate but i just want to walk away from it all and be done with blizzard..we need to somehow try one time to get them to revert these changes and leave era alone moving forward...do whatever you want to SoD or Cata but don't touch Vanilla ever again.
