The best laid plans of mice and men...

I recorded a video at 5am this morning showing the Nicety pens because after I mentioned them in a video over the weekend I was getting a comment posted over and over asking me to swatch them and film the video. The pressure was real!

I did explain to the commenter that I didn't have time to make the video as I have a full time job... just for reference I get up at 6am each day, make breakfast for hubs and me, take the dog for a 30-40m walk and then go to work for 8-10 hours... I usually get home between 6pm and 7pm and am generally pretty tired. I then cook and eat dinner with the hubs before falling asleep in front of the TV, then I go to bed... and do it all again the next day.

I make my YouTube videos at the weekend, mostly on a Sunday, as that's the only day I really have any "free time". Making YouTube videos is not my job, its more a hobby I suppose, I do it for fun and to chat with other pen/pencil lovers.

To be honest, I didn't like the stress of being pushed into making the video (it wasn't the next one on my list) but I felt obligated to do it (not a nice feeling). The video is currently waiting to be edited (by me... there is only me!)

That all aside, even though I posted that I was going to be decluttering my craftroom in the next couple of months and vlog through decluttering my house, something has happened at work which means I will be need to travel and be elsewhere for a while. I can't say all the details as it is not my story to tell, but I need to cover for someone who is critically ill.

That means there is unlikely to be any videos for a while, either here or on LifeJourney. I only found out on Monday and the details of what's required have been fleshed out over the last couple of days. If I had known this was on the cards, I wouldn't have made the plans video and discussed the decluttering. Sorry about that.

Obviously, my job is very important to me (as it's how we pay the bills!) so for the time being, YouTube is going to have to take a back seat.

So the many packs of 24 pencils I'm letting go have all been packed up (with a little colouring book in each) and are off to the Children's Christmas Toy Collection today. I've also added some lovely new children's books, some unused paint sets and a new Diamond Painting kit.

Also leaving the house today are some of Robbie's unwanted toys and a bed he never used. They're going to the Battersea donation point where they are used at Battersea rehoming sites for the doggies waiting for homes 🥹🥰

And finally a bag of clothes for the charity shop!

As I mentioned in my video yesterday, this is the last week of that my currently listed items will be available on eBay this year... so I've decided to join in with the Black Friday deals out there and have reduced everything. With colouring books & jigsaws now from £3!

I've also bundled some things together, like five Lulu Mayo books for £20, a whole box of stickers & paper for junk journaling for £20 and four large hardback Art Therapy Colouring Books for £20 too! Bargains! (I also found another set of Brutfuner Squares in my art cupboard so have popped them on!)

But you know me... and unlike other stories & reels I've seen where people just post, "WoW... have you seen these new markers?" I will be reviewing them fully in a video and letting you know my honest thoughts. I'm not on youtube just for the 'free' markers 😅

First of all, thank you to all the lovely people who have bought something from my eBay sale. It's amazing that the items sold so far have covered over a third of the cost of my dad's funeral. Note: covering this cost wasn't the plan when I started selling the items but the cost was an unexpected expense I had to pay out recently so recouping some money on my lovely (but unloved) crafty items is just amazing - Thank You 🥰

Secondly, I have just reduced the prices of all the jigsaws and colouring books etc. that I currently have listed on my eBay account, so if there was something you were interested in, now might be the time to take another look 👀

As I'm still decluttering my craftroom there are still more items to be listed on eBay (art books, fountain pens, diamond painting stuffs etc) so might be worth keeping an eye on my account for more stuffs to come.

Finally, I'll be stopping all current listings by the end of November, and anything not sold by then will be donated to:-

I'm taking a break from decluttering and filming any videos this weekend (I can only film on Sundays as I work full-time all week and Saturday is food shopping and cleaning / laundry day), so it's likely there won't be any videos for this week/next weekend. I'm also taking today (Sunday 19th October) totally offline (after I've written this 😅) so if I don't respond to your comment, please don't take offence, I've just not seen it yet!

I'll pop a picture of Robbie here (who was just groomed on Friday and is looking adorable) as we're just about to take him for his long morning walk 🥰
