The Avalanches
There are few living musicians as influential and original as world renowned recording artists, producers and DJs, The Avalanches.
Their debut album 'Since I Left You', released in 2000, laid the blueprint for the future of sample-based music in the 21st century. Similarly, their follow up album, 2016’s ‘Wildflower', sits on a patchwork of samples earning the band further critical acclaim across the globe. Their third full length album 'We Will Always Love You' was released in December 2020 - an album for music lovers which many are calling their album of the year.
It’s not only through their studio albums that The Avalanches have made a mark on the musical landscape. They have released cult famous mixtapes that have become heavily coveted collectibles.
As DJs, they have performed at their own infamous monthly club night ‘Brains', to the main stage at some of the biggest festivals in the world including Splendour In The Grass, Fuji Rock, Glastonbury, Coachella and Creamfields.

Today we release the 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of ‘Since I Left You’.
The album that changed so much for us.
The reissue includes a previously unreleased remix of ‘Tonight May Have To Last Me All My Life’ by MF DOOM. There are no words to describe how much he is missed . The greatest there ever was 💔💔💔
Robbie : I remember very clearly a few things about since I left you .. we decided not to have any of our voices on it, which has made it last because it's a kind of transmission; nothing date-stamps it to that time. Also we were careful not to use any cool ass software from 1999 or 2000. So it does seem to just float around in time.
Music lovers get it, and that's what we ultimately are. It's almost like an exploration of our relationship with the world and with music and, as musicians , what our place is in the whole process.
Thank you for being on this journey with us. It’s been 20 years and counting.
