Ok, listen, I *know* the chances of any book, especially my lil ole series, getting picked up into a TV series is less than slim to none, but it was fun to pretend while making this post!
I have a very imaginative mind and literally see the scenes play out in my mind as they happen, and god, it would be a dream to see those visions come to life on the big screen, but for now, I guess y'all have to deal with it being on page ;)

And there are plenty of other tropes in the entire series that I cannot share without several spoiler warnings lol.

In only 100 pages, The River Has Roots told such a beautiful and poetic story I am already going to read it again this weekend (when I just read it last night).
This is a story about two sisters who live at the edge of the mortal world and Faerie where they sing to the willow trees, the river flows with grammar, and one sister falls in love with a being from Faerie who is and is not a woman, a man, a tempest, an owl, a crafter, a fae, other and ethereal.
I have asked myself a hundred times if this book would have been more than a five star had it been longer than it was, but I also wonder, is part of the perfection and beauty the briefness of it? It read like the old fairy tales from before our time and I need so many more.
