I am a big supporter of everyone finding out what works for them, with their animals, at their place. It definitely isn't one size fits all.
But "Holy ideals" need to be compromised IF they aren't what's ACTUALLY best for the livestock.
Buy or breed for what you want to accomplish, DON'T try to make an unsuitable animal conform to your ideals.

I am recording the progress of this 1st calf heifer "Paige", to calving. This video will document her calving... hopefully, and her 1st time being milking.
The weather has definitely taken a turn and I should have worn gloves today. The chill is beginning to bite. 🥶
