The Story: My best friend, dog and ‘grandma’ (all in one) has been and is really unwell. It mostly all started when she went for her yearly checkup and vaccine. She was put on some pain relief as they thought she might be in pain. She’s had a really bad adverse reaction to the ‘pain relief’, originally the vets thinking she had a really bad flare up of colitis. This is the second time she is being hospitalised at the moment.
Nothing has been or is the same. I find myself cuddling a toy puppy and scrolling through pictures and videos of my dog on my phone to try to ease the pain and heartache.
Today I’m currently on mental breakdown number 3. I had one at the vets earlier to.
I haven’t had a shower in 4 days, the BO could knock me, or anyone out!
In the ambulance service we often talked about the stages of grief, and today I am in shock and denial.
Yesterday we thought she had turned a corner and started eating a little bit for the first time in 5 days, but upon reflection I think that was more wishful thinking.

My best friend, dog and ‘grandma’ (all in one) has been and is really unwell.
