Last summer I got the opportunity to test my song in front of a live audience before finalizing it. Have you ever had a moment where sharing something in real-time shaped its final form? How did feedback or experience influence you? #LivePerformance#AudienceEnergy#CreativeGrowth#TestingTheWaters
Who are the women in your life—teachers, fellow vocalists, or mentors—who have shaped your journey as a singer in ways you didn’t fully realize until you looked back? 🎶💜 #WomensHistoryMonth
I spent most of my time in middle school reading about princesses. There were stories from all over the world about these young girls who had never had to worry about finances and were surrounded by extravagant architecture and expensive clothes.
At first glance I was ready to sign up, but after reading their stories I realized that their elegance was a result of their demeanor, not their possessions. They had their own battles to fight, some of them literal like Princess Nzinga. but most of them had to fight to be heard, or to protect the common people from being taken advantage of by making alliances with the sons of powerful rulers. They were elegant because of the way they reacted to their circumstances. and I believe that was based on a proactive mindset to make the best of their life no matter what situations they found themselves in. I still want to be like that today... #newmusicalert#sheisme#oriannajoy
When I first performed Jazzbalaya I told the audience I wanted to sing them a song that sounded as good as Jambalaya tastes. What genres or cultural influences resonate most with you in music? #CulturalRoots#MusicFusion#Jambalaya#HeritageInMusic
One of my latest songs Jazzbalaya went through multiple revisions before finding its true form. Have you ever had to reshape a creative project or idea? How did the changes improve it? #CreativeProcess#ArtInMotion#EvolutionOfArt#BehindTheMusic
