Over 15 years of World of Warcraft experience, with Mythic Raiding and Heroic Raiding before the existence of Mythic raiding.
Over 6 years of Final Fantasy 14 experience, with a heavy focus on job mastery.

After all of the role-specific polls, we determined in votes which job in eacy category was considered the HARDEST to play. The winners consistently won by a large enough majority that it was not a "coin flip". For tanks, we even tested if a single big poll instead of these pair comparisons, would change the result, and it did not.
Pair comparisons also leave such a poll possibly vulnerable to issues we never had to deal with. Notably, for example, if we found that A > B in terms of difficulty, and B > C, But ALSO that C > A, then it certainly doesn't lead to a very clear ranking!
