Beware of this music career trap... This industry loves to glorify being busy, but “busy” isn’t the same as advancing your career. I spent the first half of my career overworking myself and expecting that I would just be ushered through the studio hierarchy. Always helping others achieve their goals while letting mine fall by the wayside. Don't let this happen to you!
I'm hosting a FREE live annual planning workshop. Come join and let's all set ourselves up for an epic 2025! 👇👇👇👇👇
Had a fun chat with Matt from @WorkingClassAudio about bringing value outside your mixing or mastering skills and why it's important to building your career. Matt's podcast was a big inspiration for me starting my own show, so every time I get to hang with him is an honor. Check it out and let me know what you want to hear us get into next time!
I'm planning on doing a Q&A episode. Starting this thread to collect any questions you might have. Throw anything you've got in here... mixing, engineering, business, career, cocktail recipes, anything goes!
Hey Y'all! I had a great chat with mixer Brendan Dekora on his podcast @proaudioperspectives about how I got started engineering, my mixing workflow, and how my approach to client communication has changed over the years. It's one of my favorite conversations as the interviewee. If you like my channel I think you'll dig this convo!
