Canon just “updated” one of their worst lenses for the RF mount… the 75-300mm f/4-5.6

They kept the same optics, design, and AF motor as the 1999 EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III

But it’s also now the cheapest full frame RF lens available from Canon at only $219 for a 75-300mm full frame lens with autofocus.

I’ll be comparing this lens with the RF 100-400 to see If it’s even worth $219!

As the Magic Lantern community continues to grow, we keep getting unique projects, experiments, and updates that make it even more exciting!

In my latest video I checked out a DIY full cinema rehousing for the Canon EOS M that adds a ton of features, and fixes some of the biggest headaches with shooting Magic Lantern RAW video.

I can’t wait to see what comes out of this community in the future, and especially which cameras get ML support next!

Got some hands on time with the Canon R50V at NAB and it’s essentially a Sony ZV-E10 II for $350 cheaper. Definitely gonna be one of the best budget ‘content creator’ cameras on the market!

- 4K 60fps (cropped)
- 10bit C-Log 3
- Same autofocus as R5 Mark II
- Even smaller body than the R50
- Built in vertical tripod mount
