R-QR Update: After switching to a full aluminium construction and moving to a three-stud layout, the R-QR is now perfectly stable, zero play and no flex whatsoever. Thorough testing coming soon!
After further testing of the carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic version of the R-QR, we’ve decided not to move forward with that material. Although it was very promising and kept the rim attached to the wheel hub, its lack of stiffness resulted in a small amount of play in the wheel, even though the Quick Release itself never came unfastened.
We are addressing this issue by transitioning to fully aluminium versions of the R-QR.
