Hey guys, hope you're doing well! I haven't been very active this year due to a lot of things going on in my life (family, personal, school, etc.). And especially with mashups I've been feeling quite unmotivated in completing them because nothing ends up sounding the way I imagine. But I've been trying to find other ways to be creative and not limit myself too much!

I really wanted to make a mashup with Wonho's latest comeback, but I honestly couldn't find any song combination that I liked enough to mash up with. Either the key was far off, or the songs just didn't have vibes that meshed well, so I decided to not rush or force mashups that I'm not happy with... but I did end up making a orchestral cover of "Lose", in a superhero/epic style. Just thought I'd share it with you - if you're curious on how it turned out, here's the link ^^

I also did make some other covers on this channel of Monsta X, Dreamcatcher, Wonho 'Losing You' as well, if that is something you'd be interested in. I thought it is one of their strongest comebacks yet, the chorus is so addicting and the choreography looks really impressive although it's a step back from Monsta X's aggressive sound. I think they really SUIT 😉 this concept so well. The film criminal concept was so different than anything I've seen before from them and they all embody the characters really well and it showed a different side to the members and the group. I was so impressed with Hyungwon and Minhyuk especially because they don't get to shine in MX song as much as the others, but they really went all out this comeback! Finally Starship is letting them sing 😅 It's one of the most balanced comebacks, along with Follow, in my opinion, but still has that Monsta X charm.

And in terms of the album - I love it after a couple of listens. Love Killa, Thriller, Nobody Else, Night View and Sorry I'm Not Sorry are my top tracks although it feels weird to even exclude the others, because there wasn't one song that felt out of place in the album. Also this is the rare time Monsta X's title track is my favourite in the album!! :D I love the arrangement of the songs and just the instrument choices they made.

What did you guys think of Love Killa/Fatal Love album? :D I'll try to make a mashup with Love Killa and some other songs in the coming weeks. Love Killa's rhythm is a bit unique in that not many other songs match up with it, so it's going to be interesting how work around that... feel free to suggest some mashup combinations of the title or b-sides you want to see and I'll definitely look into it! In the meantime, let's enjoy this comeback and all the new stages and content ^^ These guys always work so hard to give a great performance, I'm really proud of this entire era and comeback!! :D

'SMOKY' by JOOHONEY is such a raw and beautiful piece of art. Thanks Jooheon for making me cry, and for the entire mixtape. A few of my favourites other than Smoky are 'Dia', 'Dark & Cloudy' and 'King'! Please check it out if you are interested in hearing his range of talents. This was such a long awaited release, and it was well worth the wait. 💙 Can't believe this man is real sometimes - I mean, how can one person be such a talented, rapper, singer, producer, actor, umm...I'm missing a bunch but you get the point. 😉 Anyway, please support him if you are able to! Hi everyone! Just wanted to share some news that I started a second channel "jemusic" to post some non-mashup content such as orchestral covers (for now)! I uploaded one video so far of Monsta X's 'Fantasia' and have a bunch of ideas to create remakes for other groups and their music. I will still be making mashups as usual, but I've been trying to learn something new for the past year and have really enjoyed making orchestra versions of songs for fun as well. So... is anybody still alive after "Open Mind" 🤯 because I'm not (I'm writing this from the afterlife 😭). I'm going to give it a few days before I make any bold claims, but honestly this song and "Right For Me" album are REALLY strong contenders for my SOTY and AOTY (so far). This is such a win for Wonho, for Wenee and Monbebe. I love everything about the Music Video and all the songs are such a good representation of Wonho and his various sides. Open Mind, With You and Lost In Paradise I think are my favourite songs so far. Also With You kind of scared me at first listen and I had to double check I was listening to the right song because on the album preview it sounded totally different. I am just amazed by his vocals in this. We get to see a new side of him that he never really got to express in Monsta X and I'm grateful to be able to hear it 😂 What are your stand-out tracks on the album?

Congratulations to Wonho and everyone behind him & his team for making this possible. Who would have thought ten months ago we would be getting such a victory after what happened? Wonho is back stronger than ever and here to stay. I am still trying to gather my thoughts because I'm just all around SHOCKED but I can't wait for all the stages and events to come! It's going to be iconic.

Nothing could have prepared me for this comeback! Wonho put his heart in this song and shared it with us. I'm just so happy he came back with a lovely song and music video and we can see him and hear him through his music. (...also can I just say... ENGLISH KING!? -- just another added layer of consideration he put into this masterpiece)

Wonho deserves the world and had to go through so much to get to this next chapter of his career. If you haven't already, please give the song a chance and see it with the lyrics on! It's an emotional one for sure for Monwenees 😭 but it couldn't be any more perfect of a debut for Wonho. 💙

Hiii everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while~ I'm still here, but taking a break from online activity a bit to focus on some things in my real life. Hopefully those things will be sorted in the coming weeks and I can return to making mashups with a fresh mind 😊 In the meantime, please feel free to drop some mashup requests in the comments of this post and I will look into them when I have some free time! I'm also feeling a bit unmotivated because whatever ideas I had don't really end up working for various reasons, so this might help me get back into things.

PS: I teased a bit of a project on twitter a few weeks ago - it's Fantasia X OT7 version (album remake) so I have about 3 of the songs sort of completed for that, but I'll keep working on it when I feel motivated.
