Greetings PJALians! As most of you know, it is currently June, which is Pride Month. For many here and elsewhere, this month is a special month for queer folk to be able to express themselves and bring up awareness about the subject.

Let's all use this wonderful month to show our appreciation to those who identify with queer labels even if you don't. Your family member, friend, or just anyone you know may be under this vast umbrella so let's all help them feel a little less outcasted than they already are—let's make them feel safe as they deserve to be. "Love is love" may be something you hear a lot, but it's true. In order to help uplift the queer community, it takes all of us which starts with you.

Many beliefs go against being queer which leads to so many people becoming homophobic to others and even themselves. I know some of you here vary in terms of how open and accepting you are towards pride, but please don't let the hate that's taught to you shadow how us queer people are people. All around the globe, many people get shunned and outcasted for simply loving—maybe even not loving (for those of aromantic and/or asexual orientation). From the bottom of my heart, I hope you all understand how all queer people want is to be accepted—to not be alienated. They aren't hurting you.

So, to end this off, happy pride month everyone!
