I recorded international table tennis events throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, capturing both matches and practice sessions with permission from the organizers. We used the footage as a study tool, but I also wanted to preserve history for the table tennis community, though I had no way of knowing how I would eventually share it—YouTube didn’t exist yet. But I understood one thing: If I didn’t record it, it could be lost forever.

Now, I’m using this channel to share as much as possible. Many recordings are on analog tape and require digitization, and modern AI tools help enhance the video quality. Each clip takes time to prepare, but I’m committed to making this historic record available to you, the international table tennis community.

A lot of footage from the early 1990s will continue to be uploaded over the next few months, including practice and match footage from the 1991 World Team Cup in Barcelona. But I'll also be moving up the time line a bit and post footage I captured at the 2011 World Championships in Rotterdam in between the older footage releases. Those are mostly close-up studies, captured either during practice of during a match. The footage shot during a match is not intended as a report on the match and as such it wouldn't be very useful, but rather as a detailed study of the techniques applied by the players.
Enjoy.

I just uploaded a fresh version that has the complete Timo-Boll - Kalinikos Kreanga match from the Zagreb WTTC. The video of the match I originally uploaded was corrupt. I apologize.

As promised, while the 1991 WTTC Collection is uploaded at a pace recommended by "Youtube Specialists", I will continue to upload other footage. I will focus on practice and match footage from the 2007 World Championships in Zagreb next.

The overwhelming majority favored two releases of the 1991 WTTC collection per week, so that's what we'll do. In between, I'll be posting content from other events - again, as time permits.
Thanks to all who participated in the poll!
