Denys Chufarin – Poker Player, Streamer, and Content Creator from Ukraine 🇺🇦
Hey, I’m Denys Chufarin.
I started my poker journey in 2009 with just $65 and gradually turned it into millions of dollars in winnings over the years. What began as a hobby eventually became my profession, taking me from low-stakes games to some of the toughest tournaments in the world.
For most of my career, poker was my primary focus. In recent years, however, I’ve shifted more of my attention toward streaming and content creation. While I still compete at high stakes, I now spend much more time sharing the realities of professional poker, documenting the ups and downs, and bringing my audience along for the ride.
My favorite game is Short Deck (6+ Hold’em), a format that combines creativity, aggression, and constant action. Whether I’m playing major tournaments, streaming online sessions, or discussing strategy, my goal is to make poker entertaining, educational, and accessible.

The third episode of Online Poker Millionaire is officially out — and this time, it’s about me 😅
It’s not just about poker, high-stakes tournaments, and money. It’s also about my life, my family, and the journey that usually stays behind the scenes.

I completely forgot about this challenge.
Last time, I ran out of time to finish the $400K challenge… but I did have an amazing family vacation in Mexico, and still ended up around +$325K, so I can’t really complain. 😅
I was sure this one had expired too since I’ve spent almost a month in Las Vegas. But nope… there’s still one Sunday left.
The only catch? I won’t be playing the $10K GGMillion$ this Sunday.
Which actually makes it even more fun. 😄
So… all that’s left is to win $50K in one day.
See you Sunday.
What could possibly go wrong? 😅

About 15 months ago, I decided to focus on tournaments.
At the time, it felt a little like selling the family cow and heading west in search of gold.
I was leaving behind five years of Short Deck and more than 10 million cash-game hands in Hold'em. Not exactly the kind of move that screams "good life decision."
And the funny thing is, my goal wasn't to win a million dollars.
My goal was to make better content.
That's it.
More interesting streams. Better stories. More videos where I could explain why I just punted a stack in a very educational way.
Instead, poker did what poker does.
Over the last year and a bit, playing exclusively tournaments on GGPoker, I've won more than $1,000,000.
Which is honestly weird.
Because if you had told me 15 months ago that switching formats would lead to a seven-figure year, I would've assumed you were trying to sell me a tournament course.
Turns out poker still had a few surprises left for me.
You spend years making plans, and then variance shows up and says: "Cute plan. Watch this."
Anyway, the content goal is still the same.
The million was just a very unexpected side quest. 🃏😅

Came in with a simple plan
Lose $40k and go to sleep 😄
Spent ~$50k in buy-ins
Early game?
Absolute pain
Monsters everywhere
No streamer luck
Then I unlocked green tea buff 🍵
3 final tables later…
I’m heads-up in the $5K Main
Because of course 😄
Didn’t win it
But that’s not the point
$92K in cashes
$40K+ up
Content was delivered
And I’m not done yet 👀

My name is Denys Chufarin. I’ve been streaming poker for years. For the last 15 months I’ve been streaming MTTs, a format I never played professionally and honestly hope I never will. It’s insanely hard to beat for a living, but it’s the best poker to stream. Every tournament is a new life. Every final table feels like magic.
When I started, I never imagined playing the highest online buy-ins. I thought those guys spent decades mastering the game. But somehow, streamer luck can cover the gaps… and yeah, it already brought me $800k.
I’ve said it many times, my priority is content, not EV. So I decided to give this experience to you and to myself.
This Sunday, opening day of the biggest online poker series, I’m firing the highest buy-ins. Around $40k total. Toughest fields possible. Results are unpredictable. But it’s going to be fun.
I’m a huge underdog there. They’re elite. I’m just a streamer from a different game.
But chat knows… streamer luck is real.
Let’s see what wins. Skill or streamer luck.

How did I win this?
A lot of people are asking what I did, what strategy I used, how I prepared.
The truth is simple
I got lucky.
Most players at that final table and in the whole event are absolute killers with massive experience. I’m the new guy here.
Here’s my entire High Roller sample so far:
1500+ buy-ins
about 10K hands total
and a huge EV winrate of 14 EVbb
What does that mean?
It means I ran hot. I got good cards. People folded to my bluffs. Variance decided to be kind to me.
But here’s what I did:
I fell in love with poker again.
For the last months I barely skipped a single day without studying. Solvers, sizing logic, ranges, lines, all of it. I just dove into the game like it’s a new universe.
And one more thing made a huge difference:
2 hours of deep ICM work with a Ukrainian coach.
He changed how I feel ranges on short stacks. That’s why you saw so many tight folds in spots with multiple short stacks…
and so much aggression when I was the one applying pressure.
I’m extremely grateful to everyone who helped me and everyone who supported me along the way.
Love what you do.
Enjoy the process.
The results come on their own.
Because winning is not the result
Winning is the process.

More than 24 hours later
and I’m still not over it.
I won the GGMillions $10,300.
Super tough field.
Final table was a war.
At one point I had 2.5 big blinds.
Not “short stack strategy”.
Not “ICM pressure”.
2.5 BB and a dream.
And somehow… it turned into a win.
No motivational speech.
No deep message.
Just this:
Don’t leave the table until the last chip is gone.
Because sometimes that last chip becomes all of them.

I planned to stream today, but I decided to take a short break. Even superheroes need some rest sometimes 😅
Yesterday was truly special. My friend and I reached the High Roller heads up, the same friend I used to study Short Deck with for years. It honestly felt surreal. We both started with the same fundamentals, even though our styles turned out completely different, and somehow we both carried that knowledge into tournament poker.
We ended up chopping heads up. Congrats to my friend, to me, and to everyone who keeps working on their game every single day. Consistency really pays off. Keep pushing, and that wall will eventually move.
You can see the full final table lineup in the photo, and the full replay is already on my other channel 👇https://youtu.be/Ncnj_6XQm88

I’ve seen people asking me to share my session results, but honestly, that’s super hard to do 😅
First, I don’t track my sessions results at all - it drains energy and focus.
Second, after a long stream, all I want is to lie down with a dark eye mask and earplugs 😴
If you’re really curious about my tournament results, you can check them out here:

Finally made it to the final table of my favorite tournament yesterday!
It’s been a wild ride lately. Ups, downs, and everything in between. But that green color finally showed up in my challenge tracker again. That moment when all the work, intuition, knowledge, and a bit of luck finally come together.
Poker is a strange mix of patience and chaos. Sometimes weeks go by without results, and then suddenly everything clicks. Yesterday felt like one of those rare moments.
I’ll spend Thanksgiving with my family, then get back to work cutting some highlights for you all.
Thanks for being part of this journey. It’s only just beginning.
Saloos 💚
