This is one of the best weeks of 2025 so far - 5.6 looks amazing, we're getting Diluc and Kaeya teaming up to protect Mondstadt, Albedo being sus, the Hexenzirkel, Venti talking to Varka and to top it off Varka is voiced by my favourite VA in JP (Tomokazu Sugita) who voices Gintoki and Joseph Joestar.

We even got an Oblivion remaster out of nowhere and it looks like Venti's EN VA (Erika Harlacher-Stone) is coming back (though not for 5.6 unfortunately).

Working on a few scripts atm, I might put off the one about the moons until 5.6 though as I feel like the Hexenzirkel could reveal something about them to us, just from Barbeloth/Rhinedottir(?) talking about the world being turned upside down in the trailer and the whole Simulanka connection. Welkin moon web event will update in a few days too though so if that's something substantial I might not be able to resist prioritising that haha

With so many factions involved in Nod-Krai I feel like the story is going to get wild when we get there. Speaking of, that Wild Hunt sure would fit where Roland/the Bloodstained Knight has been since he pledged himself to the Abyss wouldn't it? Very exciting times to be into the lore.

Happy Lantern Rite!


Finished the story quest last night and really enjoyed it -

There was a lot of lore dropped too huh, didn't expect Ning to mention that the problems with the ley lines could be due to what happened in Natlan. Seems like we'll start seeing the repercussions in Inazuma with Chiyo appearing and it'd be a good excuse for us to visit other nations we haven't been to in a while (mainly Mondstadt).

The Celadon Mare from Moonlit Bamboo Forest was another I didn't expect so maybe we'll get to learn more about her soon too, could even tie-in to the ancient powers that are used in Nod-Krai as she seems to be from the really ancient past.

Oh and the fisherman Jiangxue at Wangshu Inn! I'd forgotten about him until this quest, I wonder if he's the Yunlai Angler in disguise. He did say he had a vision and threw it away so I wonder if that's a cover story for his powers or if he felt insulted by receiving one since he's so ancient.

The Hu Tao story with meeting her grandfather and dad was beautiful too, as someone that was really close with my grandfather those kinds of stories always manage to hit me pretty hard.

What did you think of this years Lantern Rite and what's coming up? I'm pretty excited to find out more about Chiyo and hope we get a cutscene of her facing off against Ei, though with Ei chopping off one of her arms and horns, maybe it'll be a bit too graphic to depict in detail.

Playable Skirk coming so soon was not what I expected at all and if she gets a dedicated quest we're probably going to get quite a lot more lore on Surtalogi too. I wonder how an interaction between her and Dainsleif would go since she's the subordinate of one of his main enemies, could make for a really good battle scene. (sorry for repost the images kept messing up)

How is everyone enjoying 5.1 so far?

I finished the Archon Quest last night - probably my favourite one in recent memory and without spoiling anything the lore drops were absolutely mind-blowing. Working on a script for it now - there's already so much I want to talk about and each topic leads down multiple rabbit holes so I'm gonna spend the weekend trying to piece everything together for a big video on it all.

Looks like Capitano is cryo and associated with the Night Kingdom with that strange aura of his sword. Very interesting that he says it falls to him to create new rules for Natlan too, I wonder if he views the Night Kingdom being taken over by the Abyss as a failure on Mavuika's part?

Probably the most hyped I've been for a new nation, they even gave us a tease of Capitano and Mavuika fighting which I'm hoping gets an animation too.

Anyone else notice the pyro archon looks like a mix of Himeko and Fu Hua/Phoenix/Garuda? She seems to travel to Capitano in her phoenix form just before this scene. Currently have a finished script on Natlan but going to add a few more things in as the Capitano/phoenix connection just got a lot more interesting with her being the archon.

Just a quick update, I've finished the script for quite a long video but it's complicated and might need to be changed a bit with 4.6 coming out. So I've made a quick analysis video for Arlecchino's new animation for now, I'll probably make a History of Arlecchino video too once she's out and we get all her lore.

Quick update!

Next video will be on Capitano and Natlan, script is finished so just need to find time to record/edit. Pretty excited to share what I've found as he's my favourite Harbinger and the connections I've made would have his story be even better than the Bloodstained Knight's.
