let me tell you what mindless is.
its not recognizing your own responsibility to other human beings. stand up for each other.
and the stakes are really high. if you paid attention to the information provided in good journalism, original sources, and reading that you scorn, you'd find something you've been trained to ignore. facts. truth is subjective; facts are not.
you're right on one hand, there is a us vs them. but you have the wrong them. as a leftist, i believe that there should be no money in politics at all, that a government is there to provide a basic level of human dignity and decency to their constituents, which means access to safe housing, healthcare, and protection of consumers against the corporations. i want regulations that make sense, that protect nature for its critical part in our lives and because i hope future generations get to enjoy what we have.
what they trained you to ignore was that you have a right to be angry at other people simply for who they are. trans people are people. and there is no reason, including made up fear campaigns, to isolate and antagonize and create fear for anyone. if you believe in freedom, you'd know this. and parents, doctors and children make their health decisions, you don't want anyone telling you what to do, don't tell anyone else either. and no one is indoctrinating your child, except this regime, who seeks to rewrite history, erase people and events, and "sanitize" your child into hating others..
and they need an enemy to really get people behind them. so no, "leftists" are not the enemy; because at the end of the day, i want you, maga, to have the same rights as me, as her, as him, as they. its really that simple.
the republicans as a whole, were corrupted by people who want to control you a long time ago. and disinformation was the weapon. with citizens united the doors blew off corruption and aim was to create a world without regulation, liberalism, taxes, and accountability. and they're close. you don't have to trust me, there's plenty of smart people out there who have the receipts.
but you have to make the first move and be willing to accept shared facts.
and to circle back, the reason people are angry is that court after court has affirmed what we know. these are not deportations, they are kidnappings of our community members. it goes beyond party, it IS the Constitution. any PERSON on this land receives the benefits of that document and others, which includes Due Process. and no, you can't shoot anyone in the face and not be subject to investigation and consequences; they know this, and are very scared right now. if this is a tipping point, they are in big trouble. and can absolutely forget about midterms, which was likely anyway. but this just went full fascist.
please take time to compare the components of a fascist regime and actions this regime has taken. the results will shock you.
its a republic, if we can keep it. and we've just about lost it. pay attention. you don't want to be on the wrong side of history. love more. hate less.
