This Independence Day is emotional for all of us, because we lost an amazing soul. A doctor, a daughter and a beautiful human being. Please know that like all of you, I am also reading everything around it. Following it constantly, but I haven't been able to dissociate from it and post about it as a discourse.
It is not out of my ignorance, but out of sheer fear.
Fear of feeling unsafe, wronged, and incapable as a specific gender in this awful world we live in.
Every time I read something around the Kolkata Incident, I feel a sudden panic and I know I am not the only one. Each and every girl is feeling the same sinking feeling right now as I am.
This incident is too close to heart, so much so that I get chills whenever I think of posting about it. I'm so sorry if you are feeling this too.
We as a society didn't deserve that beautiful soul and I hope she is in a better place now.
Rest in power.
