Recently, a former Ubisoft Reflections developer shared some screenshots of various builds of Driver: San Francisco on Reddit!
One of these is from late 2008/early 2009, when Tanner and his Dodge Challenger were brought back after the decision was made to transition from a game based on driving challenges to a story-driven one.
At this stage, the city was more detailed than the flat surfaces in the final version. Maintaining city details while hitting the 60 FPS mark on PS360 hardware with Shift proved impossible. #redriver
