Preferred Pronoun: She/Her
I am NOT a horse trainer. I am MY horse trainer.
There are plenty of trainers in the world working their fingers to the bone to make a living. It's an extremely competitive industry and one I'm absolutely avoiding. The only person I'm competing against is myself and what I was capable of doing yesterday. I've seen how trainers can be treated by students, by boarding facilities, and by the public.
The only agenda I have is to live and to document what we did during our journey.
As Sarcoma survivors, we know that beast could be sleeping and we all choose a different path of trying to keep it sleeping.
If that beast awakens, at least I will have loved, lived, and lost. I can go knowing I put my best effort in while trying to retain my dignity, my integrity, and my liberty to the best of my ability without moral injury.
