Hey YouTube family, can you believe we've already made it to Week 8!! I hope week 7 went well, and you were able to complete all the week 7 workouts from my Summer Shape-Up schedule along with working on last week’s nutrition tip, “Mindless Eating Can Keep You From Your Weight Loss Goals 😩!”

Here’s the WEEK 8 schedule:

This week’s nutrition tip is, “Have a Nutritional Strategy”

The definition of STRATEGY is ,”a plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim.”

What I’ve come to realize over the past few years of my fitness journey is that it’s much easier to EAT a lot of calories than it is to BURN🔥 a lot of calories. That‘s why the nutrition component is so powerful for body composition changes. I don’t know about you, but I put in way too much work to settle for looking the same year after year!

Having a “Nutritional Strategy” will help you see results quickly. I personally count macros everyday for my strategy. There are other successful strategies out there (hand portion tracking, building a balanced plate, calorie counting, etc.), I just like to eat the foods I like, and fit them into my daily macro goals. I even allow myself some indulgences without an ounce of weight gain. If you can implement your nutritional strategy 80% of the time, and let loose a little 20% of the time, you'll still get great results! If you mess up for a few days, don’t quit completely! Get right back to eating right and exercising.

I hope you all enjoyed my Summer Shape-Up schedule along with my weekly nutrition tips. Feel free to go through the program several times. At the end of the day, HIIT style training and a nutritional strategy is a WINNING combination! Remember consistency is key!
