In a couple weeks this channel will be 9 years old! I’m happy for all the support since I started and for some of my die hards that I see in the livestream chat DAILY! Thank you all.
I haven’t hit 100K yet which would be amazing but as a YouTube partner I did get an unintentionally perfectly timed gift for this anniversary. A really cool functional dry erase clapperboard! Sometimes you just need a little motivation to shake off the cobwebs and get creating again, this is it.

I was starting back into testing flight sim in VR and non VR, but my old intel i9 12900K isnt cutting it, it's the bottleneck and my RTX 4090 isn't really working that hard, especially with the FENIX A320 and heavy airports like LAX. I finally caved and going to try the AMD Ryzen 9800X3D that is getting all the attention. Parts arriving today, will try and do some comparisons.

My little cyberpower battery backup only gave my streaming machine 15-20 mins of power if there was an outage and I had two outages last week. So I decided to get a much beefier solution. It was pretty expensive ngl but I get a surprising number of power interruptions. And yes I paid my own money for this, not sponsored.

Finally got the EFIS extension module for my miniCockpit. I had a little snafu where I damaged the USB port but miniCockpit was very fast in sending replacement chip board to me that was an easy user swap without sending the whole unit back.

The Palisades fire smoke was visible for miles around. Probably affecting LAX a bit. But mostly the easterly winds causing a reverse ops day.
The winds are luckily also blowing the smoke out to sea for now.

I missed out on the first round of orders but I finally got the EFIS part of my miniCockpit set! It just arrived by FedEx today from Hong Kong. I can't wait to set it up. I'll post a quick unboxing as a YouTube Short asap!
