A beautiful Sunday filled with Cubbon Park goodness (winter haze, soft sun) and melodies of Vasu Dixit (from Swarathma), followed by MTR Ragi Dose (singing Ragi Tandira had me weirdly craving for it!), followed by an obscure Korean film(that exactly 4 people watched including me), a 'Poets of Bangalore' session that had me running and grasping for air, an authentic Matcha place that could be located in a better, well, location.
On the best part of the day, that was the music, I have followed the band Swarathma off and on and love albums like Raah e Fakira and Topiwalleh apart from the classic debut album (who can forget Ee Bhoomi or Jana Kahan hai Mujhe!) but admit I was not aware of Vasu's self-titled album from 2017. As a mood-buildup for the performance, I caught up with his discography outside of the band, and fell in love with tracks like Nadiyolage, Meri Kalakaari (what a nuanced track, at par with any early Indian Ocean song), Ragi Tandira, Tarakka Bindige...Thanks Heritage Beku & ‪@VasuDixit‬ !
