I'm Lydia — climate founder, content creator, and self-declared memory collector.
This channel is where I share everything I wish someone told me earlier — about freedom, purpose, career pivots, and what it takes to design a life that feels like you.
Whether you’re exploring a new chapter, trying to build something brave, or figuring out what’s next... welcome. You’re not alone.
🔎 Expect climate tech insights, solo founder reflections, and behind-the-scenes of real reinvention.
Say hi anytime. I’d love to hear your story.

What I Learned This Week: Say Thank You Out Loud
Out of all the Western holidays, Thanksgiving has always felt most like mine —
not for the food, or even the tradition,
but for the pause it gives us.
A reason to stop and say thank you —
to life,
to the people who’ve lifted us up,
to the ones who made us smile on a tired day,
or dropped a sentence of wisdom
we didn’t know we needed.
This week, I’m grateful for the guests who share their stories on Escape 9 to 5,
for everyone who listens,
and for the quiet corners of the world
that give us space to reflect, recharge, and reconnect.
If you’re reading this — thank you, too. 💛

This weekend’s episode is one of my favorites yet. 💙
Ania Wysocka, Founder of Rootd, joined me for a raw and real conversation about what it takes to keep building when everything feels stacked against you.
It’s like talking to a friend who’s been through it all — and come out the other side. We talked about starting small, believing in your dream, and proving that impact doesn’t have to be compromised.
✨ Full episode drops this weekend — you don’t want to miss it.

✨ All creators are souls who crave building something new. And I’ve experienced it firsthand.
What if your boldest idea had just 21 days to make it or disappear forever?
That’s where I am right now.
🚀 I’ve launched something terrifyingly exciting. It’s the biggest leap I’ve taken in my climate journey, and it’s live on Kickstarter.
Swipe → for behind-the-scenes moments, the real reason I took this leap, and how you can be part of it.
Hint: It involves making climate cool again. ❄️🔥
👇 What’s the boldest idea you’ve ever bet on? Let’s talk in the comments.

Meeting with other Part-time YouTubers is always a delight, especially combined with the festive vibe in London these days. Knowing that people can grow their channel from almost 0 to 100k within a year or from 9 to 1000 within a year or started 12 years ago but still going and switching to it full time, or grow a business out of it. All of which gives me hope and will keep me going.
And for those who've been following this channel, thank you. Thank you for giving me an reason to live with intention, a purpose to keep track of the best memories in life and to share with you. : )

I found myself repeating myself a lot when people asked "why people don't reply me on LinkedIn?" This is my experience and tips from years of networking as someone who's an introvert, like you, I'm also afraid of rejection, but if I can do it, you can do it too.

It’s been 4 years since I started YT, other than the first few months I’ve kept one video every week. Though still not monetized but it did has changed my life in a way I can never imagine. Would I ever be able to monetize?! Who knows, but I know the next video will be better than the last, and that’s what matters. I also know that I’m creating something useful when viewers left heartfelt comments, and that’s enough.

Too many people asked me what gears they need to start a podcast, but honestly, all you need is just these simple tools that you can take everywhere you are going and just hit start.
